Karl, lacking any form of missile weaponry instead looks around to see if there is anything that he can use as an improvised polearm to finish battering the skeleton to pieces. If he finds something, ask everyone to back out of the tunnel, move up, divine challenge the skeleton and holy strike it until it comes apart fully.

((let's see, other favorite RPGs in no particular order: Final Fantasy 4, 6 and 9, the Gold Box Krynn games, Dragon Warrior 4 and 7, Breath of Fire 1 and 2, Suikoden, Wild Arms, Baldur's Gate 1, 2 and expansion, Fallout, and the original Neverwinter Nights from Biowwre, mostly for the awesome mods the community made.))

You head back and go into the workshops. Down a little you find the carpenter's room and find a staff that seems it would've been made into a long spear if given a spearhead. Otherwise, it's a quarterstaff with reach. Do you take it or look for something else, deeper in?

Karl picks up the quarterstaff and heads back. "Here, let me handle this. It might be a little slower, but I can hit it all day if needed."

((Given that the skeleton can't even get at us, we're mostly just avoiding spending resources on destroying it. This saves potions that might be more useful later.))

Once Karl can safely move to the head of the line, he challenges the skeleton, lets the holy energy of the Raven Queen flow through the staff and sends the skeleton back to the grave, bit by bit.

Throw another Alchemist's frost in at the skeleton for good measure.

"Hey, Thoradin. Think you could shout it away? Heh."

If possible, step back afterwards and use heal on myself (?)

You throw your second alchemist frost. (CRIT) you land a critical hit and deal (10) damage and the surface solidifies to a large area of black ice. Karl comes along and you step back. Karl starts whacking the skeleton with the quartersaff! (14+5) (4+5) (FUMBLE) You give it 2 good whacks, dealing (1+2) and (5+2) damage, bloodying him, and then it catches the shaft and pulls you in! He then grabs your leg and pulls you under the ice! You hold your breath as your armor pulls you down! Thoradin is still in the hallway as well as Cromwell, so neither one can tell what happened, but they heard a crack then a splash!

Symon yells out, "What happened? Is Karl alright?" Presumably he's in the hallway with everyone else or something.

Nadarr goes to the front to see what's happening. When he sees Karl in the water, he mutters

Dunno why I'm helping the one trying to make me sell my stuff

With a sour expression.

He then jumps in and turns into a werewolf, using claws and jaws to tear the skele apart!

You hop into the water, turn into a werewolf and claw at the skeleton! (18+7) You hit, dealing (2+3) damage! Thoradin sees you run in and rushes past Alexander, nearly shoving him out of the way and does the same, but screams underwater as he goes into a berserker rage, foam rising from his mouth as he punches the skeleton! He CRITS and deals (13) damage! Karl tries to hold his breath longer! (FUMBLE) ((the dice hate you today...)) You pass out unconscious from lack of oxygen! Karl is now drowning and unconscious! The skeleton attacks the wet dwarf! He hits, dealing (7) damage!

Nadarr leaves the skeleton in the capable hands of Thoradin and uses his extra strength to haul Karl out on the other side. He mutters all the time about his stuff.

You attempt to lift Karl and swim out. (16+0) He's too heavy to lift up! Thoradin punches the skeleton again! He misses! (13) Karl succeeds a death save. Cromwell runs in next and sees Karl! He jumps in, grabs Karl and shoves him in his own bag of holding! (9+4) Nadarr starts to loose his breath! He now takes (5) untyped damage until he takes a breath! Same goes for Thoradin!

Nadarr reverts back to Dragonborn and uses his wings to help him swim. Shouting, he tells Cromwell to get Karl to shore and out of that bag as soon as possible. He then hits the skele over the head with his staff.

You swim up after trasnforming. (CRIT) You swim and don't need to do a check to tread water this turn. You hit the skeleton with your staff! (11+0) You miss! Thoradin punches the skeleton! He lands another CRIT ((by god these dice are odd today)) and deals (15) damage! The skeleton breaks apart! Cromwell teleports out and dumps Karl onto the floor! Thoradin tries to swim out! He flounders about in the water, trying to get out! He takes (5) damage and is taking more damage.

Karl is now unconcious but no longer dying.

Thoradin gets his act together and swims out! He gives Nadarr a hand and helps him out of the water. Cromwell drags Karl into the hallway with Thoradin and his Ghost's help.

Nadarr gasps and splutters, then glares at Karl's still form. Eventually, he stands up and casts predestigation until he is completely dry. He looks around the area where they are now.

You clean Karl's armor and dry him off. His armor now gives off a nice shine. Thoradin has to cover his eyes since your staff is still it up. Karl (?) wakes up within minutes. Your head hurts and its a little hard to breath. But on the bright side, your armor got a nice new polish job with no work on your end.

In terms of direction, there is still the door on the other side of the pit of water, as well as the gear of unknown quality
