"Oh, no. I *insist* I take watch with Thyra. I'm confident she's not through with me."

Blatantly put both hands on crotch.

((Sooo, did I actually see anything about the Kruthik?))

Karl shakes his head. "I'll take the watch with Thyra, Aurel. I'm afraid that if you screw up around her again before she's had a chance to forgive you a little, you'll become a soprano... Or worse."

Karl looks out at the downpour outside the shelter. "This is going to make for slow going on the way, tomorrow."

"Don't worry, Aurel. I'll take watch with you. I don't really sleep, so I'll keep her from f&$*ing with you in your sleep."

Symon sighs and goes outside to stand in the rain.

Thyra keeps a steady grip on her bow as arguments stir up in the party. Symon steps out of the shelter and braves the storm. It seems he will take first watch with Weston. The night goes on and the fire is kept by Weston as Symon stands in the rain. He glimpses at the fire and he sees a vision; a vision of two dragons fighting. One is bulkier with strong arms and perfect scales while the other is fast and resilient to the larger dragon's blows and scarred and, you swear, appeared rusted. You swear their scales were copper, the faster one, and bronze, the larger one. The vision fades and you hear that voice again, telling you once again to never let anger consume you. You do not see the strange man however.

Half an hour passes after people begin to pass out. (19+11) (CRIT) You both notice Thyra, is not sleeping, and looks terrified. Weston now also gains a temporary +5 to perception checks to hear/notice anything on his watch.

Symon mutters a prayer to Bahamut. What he saw was obviously an omen from his god, and good or bad Symon should still give praise to his god. Otherwise he still stays on watch, though he occasionally glances at Thyra from time to time.

Weston hums tunelessly to himself during his watch. There's nothing much else he can do at the moment.

Time passes, and the next watch goes up, being (?) Cromwell and Aurel. Symon and Weston can hardly tell if Thyra is asleep or not now, for she lies perfectly still.

Symon glances at Thyra with a look of concern, but doesn't say anything. He just tries to find a dry spot and goes to sleep.

Cromwell sighs heavily.
"My youth? I honestly don't remember a whole lot of it. My memory's been kinda f^&%ed since I discovered portal gems. I think it's all the dimension hopping, your mind can't keep up. Weird that this stuff isn't common knowledge to you people, but whatever."
Cromwell scanned the horizon, or at least, what he could see of it.
"There have been a couple of places that I tended to stick to, though. There was this one town that I kept going back to, can't remember the name, though. I have some... friends, if you could call them that, back there. That's actually where I found..."
Cromwell pointed his thumb over to his reindeer.
"That thing. Found it when I was helping on an attack on..."
Cromwell glanced over at Thyra.
"...An attack on an Elven War Post."
He glanced back for a second.
"And then that reindeer followed me back out after we were done. Still don't know why, but it's been the most persistent companion I've had. Crazy thing.
Course, things started getting a bit less consistent after that f&^%ing moron of a so-called-wizard blew up a d&^$ portal gem, and a fragment of it lodged itself in my f%*#ing gut."

Cromwell tapped lightly on his side, under his ribcage.
"And ever since, I've been having trouble staying in one place without warping all over the d^&% cosmos. Still got to find a new gem so I can find my way back to get this thing out of me, you can't just pull it out like an arrowhead, because it melds to you. And I really doubt that you guys would have any professionals for that s&^% here, seeing as how you aren't even familiar with 'em."
He rubbed his nose and sniffed.
"How 'bout you? You seem to have excitement follow you like a starving dog."

"My youth is just what you'd expect it to be. Extreme moodiness, arrogance, love, backstabbing. Exactly what you'd expect to happen to an heir. Later through in my life, I got into some trouble with my father and had to be banished, but he didn't have the right to strip me of my status as heir. So now I've been roaming the world for quite a time, fending off my brothers and cousins and even their own children."

Move up to Cromwell and whisper.

"Let me tell you a secret. I'm married. Twice."

Turns his back to Cromwell, puts his hand behind his waist and smirks.

"As for the excitement... well let's say there are people who I don't know that want me dead or something close to it. They've been getting a lot more active during these past few years."

"An heir, huh? I'd ask to who's throne, but I wouldn't know them anyway. Sounds like a fun family."
He looked up at the mention of Aurel's secret.
"How'd those turn out for you?"
