"Well, we do have a cart in the cave. Sadly, our goblin companion perished in the most recent battle against the shadow creatures. I'll let you draw your own conclusions."
Her eyes grow wide and then she shakes her head for a second.

"Dare I ask who crushed the one assassin? Some say it was done in one blow, and I don't think any of you could truly accomplish that easily..."
((I wanna say Symon, but I'm not sure. Who was that?))

((I'm confident it was Symon. He annihilated that Vryloka much the same way he annihilated Bouchart.))

Weston lowered his voice to a conspiratorial level, so that Symon couldn't hear but Thyra could.

"A certain soft-spoken, cripplingly shy young cleric, believe it or not."

((You are TRAINED in theivery (multiclass), Bluff, Intimidate, Streetwise, Insight, Arcana (eladrin)
((So I'm as dumb as a box of whiskey stones, in essence?))
((You're the only one trained in intimidate and insight i think. That makes you the scariest of the group if you really tried. You're also the one most likely to see through illusions))

Weston lowered his voice to a conspiratorial level, so that Symon couldn't hear but Thyra could.

"A certain soft-spoken, cripplingly shy young cleric, believe it or not."

Looks at her sharply

You mention pants?
You mumble about pants in your sleep. No one pays heed to it.

Thyra's face turns to one of slight shock and then changes to one of an impressed look. (17+3 vs 10+11) Symon hears you and turns red.

"I never knew he had it in him."

She looks at Symon, almost with a studying look. You feel really uncomfortable about her doing so. (20%) You can't help but fidget as she looks at you. After a few seconds longer, she giggles as you make a fool of yourself.

((I'll spare Symon more embarassment... For now...))

The rest of the first watch goes with only the sound of one scream, a few minutes after Thyra "studied" Symon. The rest of the watch goes off without a sound, other then the talk between the three on watch. The second watch comes up, consisting of Karl and Aurel, and the last watch would be taken by Cromwell and Nadarr. No sounds are heard through the last of the watches. Nothing happens during the night.

At ~6:00am, before sunrise, however, the rest of the party awakes. Symon awakes with Thyra right up in his face, only to watch the poor monk jump out of his skin. (?) She achieves her goal as Symon nearly screams as he awakes to the elvish maiden's face almost right up against his. Everyone gets a good laugh out of it and the party begins to mount up... Before they realise Karl has no mount and must drive the wagon with Nadarr. You return to the crossroads. There is only two paths you have left to take: the far right and the one left of that:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

As you come back, everyone notices the charred tree left behind and the dead horse, rotted from being outside all night. Blood is covering the area around the horse as it struggled the day before, only to be brought to peace by Aurel from its torment of pain.

Where does the party go?

Symon walks up to Karl and mumbles, "You c-c-can have my horse."

Symon hears you and turns red.

((Redder. :P

Also, Thyra is lucky that she didn't get a fist to the face for waking up Symon like that. He's all fight and no flight, which will probably bite him in the ass someday.))

Karl studies Symon carefully, then places his hand on the young monk's shoulder. "Thank you, Symon. I'll take good care of your horse, and keep him away from any more dire bears." he promises sincerely.

He glances at Nadarr and then nods. "As good a choice as any, unless Thyra happens to already know where it leads."

Symon nods a bit too quickly and mutters thankfully, "You're w-w-welcome." Afterwards he scrambles onto the cart and hunkers down on the seat.

You take the reins of the wagon instead of Karl. You're not used to this, but you should learn now anyway.

He glances at Nadarr and then nods. "As good a choice as any, unless Thyra happens to already know where it leads."
"I went left and then heard the back end of your fight as I was by the spring. I do not know where any of the other ways lead."

The party chooses to go down the middle, unexplored, path. It climbs up and turns sharp to the left. After about 10 minutes of walking, Thyra speaks up.

"I think this is a loop. See the crossroad up ahead? Its the same as the one that leads overtop the cave. Perhaps the hard right was a better choice."

Just to be sure, you take 5 minutes to go up and see that she was right; the path leads to a fork that splits towards the spring and on top of the cave.

You head back, and the sun is starting to poke its light above your heads. You follow the path for an hour before another bend in the path arrives. Luckily, there is only 2 possible ways: left and straight.

"Would that not make us risk another loop? I put my vote for straight ahead."

Give me a check on Impiltur (not sure what kind of check it is).
