divine pursuit with chainsword
draw glave with one hand fill cave with light
Archuther swings his chainsword at the bear, using divine pursuit and hits! He pushes the bear towards Karl/Symon after dealing (29) damage and takes ongoing (5) bleeding! Symon (19+1) JUST evades the bear! Karl (9-3) is not so lucky and gets pushed into the wall in between the bear! Karl takes (10) damage and is now pinned. The horse (?), unfortunatley, being caught under a vice with Karl on top and the bear from the side, breaks its legs and is now prone and bleeding out. Grot shouts something in goblin at Archuther as the horse whinnies in pain! The bear is now in critical condition however.

Karl:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Archuther pulls out his glaive and it begins to light up the cave. Everyone can see the amount of corpses that litter the floor now, and how grotesque the bear looks now.

Aurel begins his turn.

Jee wilikers, I think Highmax is near invulnerable, must have been dunked in the river styx like achilles was.
Just make sure he wears a boot.

Standard Action: Swarm of Shadows on the Bear
Action Point: Vampire Slam with Blood Drinker on the bear
Move Action: Run back to the horse and turn towards Karl, facepalming

"And here I thought valiant people of your ilk were supposed to be disciplined in listening to orders. Ah well, enjoy bear fur. I'd give you a potion, but ya know, there's a bear on top of you."

Standard Action: Swarm of Shadows next to the Bear
Action Point: Vampire Slam with Blood Drinker
Move Action: Run back to the horse and turn towards Karl, facepalming

"And here I thought valiant people of your ilk were supposed to be disciplined in listening to orders. Ah well, enjoy bear fur."
Your body disappears as a horde of bats made of shadow fill the area before you. (17+6) you hit the bear and deal (1+4+6+9) damage! You action point and vampire slam the bear! (16+6) you hit the bear! You deal (4+9) damage plus (6) damage! The bear looks ready to drop dead at any moment!

Weston begins his turn! ((Mr apiks was 1 damage away from killing the bear. FINISH IT OFF!))

Plus, Nadarr wants to get at least one blow in!))

((If we end up fighting the same shadow creatures as before, the daily won't be much use anyway. A hard-hitting single-target spell like that is overkill on those things. Nevertheless...))

Weston fires off another Chaos Bolt at the direbear!

You fire off a chaos bolt! You put every ounce of energy and force into finishing that damned bear off, and you let loose all that you have. (11+5) But your aim was off, and you missed the bear!

Nadarr begins his turn!

((Unless the next few people fumble, that is highly unlikely. If it reaches my turn, I'm definitely using an attack which is a sure kill. I'm starting to wonder how the heck I hit it with 3 powers, each needing an independent roll to hit.))

"I don't do well with standing back idly and doing nothing." Karl growls, trying to free his sword arm from where it's pinned between the bleeding bulk of the bear and his poor horse.

((Once the battle is over, if a Lay on Hands will also magically fix my horse's legs, use it on the horse. Otherwise, kill it cleanly to end its suffering.

For the record, I agree with Grot.))
