a real dwarf should lead this fort to death before reverting the save. If anything lives ad new years eve, I'll consider it a success.

So I ordered everydwarfy inside. A few are missing, but I won't count them yet. There is only one more known Goblin left. However, I should figure a way of dealing with those dozens of prisoners

Dealing? They're not attacking, there's no pressing need to do anything with the prisoners.

The only worthy use would be a huge goblin logic computer, and i'm not sure we have the know-how if we don't get one of the creature logic wizards in on this gig.

Of course, not my turn and all that. Atomsmash or spike them all you want. But i do suggest to keep the general. That one's our prize catch. If the siege had shown up earlier, i'd have made him the security goblin.

Is my dwarf still alive or has she managed to get herself killed this time?

You're still alive, aswell as Blade Weed Pudding, Peregar, Ringo and Uber_Pye. With the migrant wave, which arrived before, we are up to 100 dwarfs and I've continued the lava defense line. Date is early Galena.

Try danger-rooming the gobbo prisoners. That was going to be my megaproject. Re-cage them once they're legendary and then drop them on FBs or human sieges. The re-cage them again. The perfect defense.

That's a pretty good idea. I might try that with some other time on another fort.

Well, another ambush in middle of the human merchants. There is a very intense battle right in front of our gates - blood ante portas.

I finished exodius' year. Nothing really noteworthy, though. Two useless artifacts, two forgotten beasts to add to our underground zoo and some ambushes which all were instantly overrolled by merchants. However, dwarven caravan got stuck right in front of the depot and turned after a while with no opportunity to trade. That was kinda strange...
I'll do a proper write up, if something important happens in my year, I think.

Werrrll, _perhaps_ you should embark on an engineering or beautification project. Just so the place becomes more deserving of its "Citadel of Mechanisms" byname. You can always report on how such a project progresses.

I just engraved almost everything but I have no real idea what I could build. Maybe I build a citadel out of that lava moated thingy. However, I SUCK at mechanism. There won't be a big dwarfy defense system I fear. If there are any suggestions, I'll clearly consider those.
