So tk likes Dwarm's setting, and so do i. since no one's objected to it, I'm guessing everyone else is fine with it? also, seeing as i've heard stories about Dwarm from yak players () and i met Tk through an NWoD game, i doubt this will be entirely roleplay-phobic, but it'd be nice to know exactly how roleplay-friendly we expect this campaign to be?
I hope you heard only good stories.
And I fairly enjoy roleplaying of all sorts-but I'm really not into ERP. It's certainly not the focus of the game, though love, romance and closeness can be done in a manner that's respectful to everyone playing. In fact, I sort of prefer that over the blatant heavy stuff. In any case, whats merely implied can be sweeter than whats laboriously and disgustingly described over 12 pages...lol.
Aside from that, all I really limit to RP is the point where you are making other characters uncomfortable OOC wise. I mean blatant trolling, bullying, controlling other peoples chars without some sort of understanding. It doesn't really come up often.

Ok my spy among you has summarized what I missed in the thread.
Some comments on my end:
1. I don't think we should have house rules, if we can avoid it. This includes Unearthed Arcana.
2. I think we should stick to 3.5 stuff. That means no 3.0 stuff. I also think anything setting specific (eg. something from The Eberron Campaign Setting, like warforged) ought to be left out. Otherwise anything published by WotC for 3.5 is A-Ok in my book. The other GMs should probably jump in here to comment.
3. We should use point buy for stats. I'm thinking something in the middle of the road, but suitably heroic. 24 or so, maybe?
4. My vote remains for starting at level 3, but it's still under discussion AFAIK (or maybe Dwarmin and GWG have both voted for 1 already idk). The only people who -really- benefit from being able to take an LA race are the melee guys, anyways, and there's no reason to punish them. Obviously you all start at the same ECL, who even suggested it would be otherwise?
5. Roleplay is pretty big. Seriously. Do it.
1. Well, I'm on either side. We either do the whole houserule list or none at all. I'm leaning toward none, tho I have promised lawas a minor one-that he can tale alchemy without spellcasting, in exchange for having to earn certain resources in game during missions to make certain potions.
2. 3.5 is good. If someone wants 3.0 and can give me a good conversion tool, I'll consider it however.
3. I usually go higher than that, but in the interest of not wasting time I'll agree to 24 pb.
4. I think we should start at level 1, personally. This is a world where most of the old heroes are gone...and some players have mentioned they prefer a lower level campaign.
