Scion rubs her forehead with her hand. Maybe she was being a bit too impatient right now. It's not like the ship's going somewhere right now, anyways.
"S-sorry. I've just.. sorry. Get your gear together and just be ready. We have job to do."
She paces around, running her fingers through her hair.

"Right... Well, no worries, ma'am."
He turns his gaze to Anjuum, holding out his hand.
"It's a pleasure to meet ya, Mr. Anjuum. I'd be Wilson Green. And eheh, I don't think you ought to hold it against 'em, I think it's the zero-g. Sometimes folks simply have trouble getting uh... acclimated to it and it makes them just a tad loopy."
He accompanies the last bit with a slight twirl of his other hand's index finder a few inches from his head.

"Anjuum welcomes Wilson-The-Greene with his own limbs, offered in this friendly manner without readied defenses." The Nomad said, extending a large flat hand (with three fingers), but not taking it to shake. He didn't actually know what happened to next.

After a moment he continued, not withdrawing his hand.

"And, certainly zero gravity can make one terse and somewhat opaque in meaning. After all, most Nomads are not proficient in the confined realm of inter-species diplomatic skills. But our superior intellect allows us to carefully mask this fact from many of them. For example, did you know I value your team creative and physical input despite your multitudinous personal and genetic faults? It's true!"

"I know I certainly appreciate the thought."
Wilson chuckles and shakes Anjuum's hand.
"Though, you may want to treat that as a given and uh, not mention it, y'know? A lot of us humans don't like it when you point out our flaws."

"I'm always ready, what are yer, daft? It's me name, Edgrick."

Edgrick checks his customised laser cutters are in their places, in their holsters.

They are.

Course they are - he's ready.

"See these? he asks, trying to point to his laser cutters whilst holding them. "Can shoot in different colours these can. Pretty neat, eh? I mean cut. So, we going yet?"

"Humanoids do have many flaws in need of pointing out."  Anjuum agrees, missing the point

"I would stress, however, my lang-tran-comvoc makes me slightly more erudite than I consider myself to be. In my language we speak far less to say much more, but translated into humanoid basic, it tends to aggregate upon itself a certain nuance and length of speech I am well aware is considered dense. Given time and the appropriate audio samples gathered from you all, I should be able to construct a more organic language synapse in my spare time. I am particularly trying to mimic 'laughter', but have not gained much progress. What is produced so far has been described as 'ghastly' and 'spooky', and has a resultant decrease in morale and sociability upon those who listen.

Or perhaps the humanoids could learn Nomad-Communication standard, which is highly improbable, as they only have one pair of lungs."

Action: Oh yeah, the game! Action-better breach the door with Scion, be up front

Follow along behind as the stealth rearguard, sneaking in the shadows after the group, as if playing hide and seek.

"I see... Well, on to business, eh?"

Wilson takes a moment to put on his welding helmet, take a quick look over the welder that goes along with it, giving it a rather conspicuous peck on its sleek, shiny side before slipping it into its pocket on his suit.
He moves along with Scion and Anjuum, ready to help with breaching the door, but also perfectly fine with letting the more physically inclined of them do all the work.

Alex checks his gear, then heads over to the airlock while saying Hey, let's go.

Scion stopped her fidgeting. Get it together, she thought. You've been through this hundreds of times.

"Right then. Again, I'll take point and clear the area. We'll secure the stability of this craft, and proceed to acquire any valuables from it. I don't expect contacts, but if we do run into some, you're free to dispatch any armed ones. Unarmed ones, I prefer you keep them alive. We could have them sold to some bureaucrat under service, or maybe just extract some good old fashioned information from them. Helmets up, smiles on. Let's do this."

Exit when ready.

Three scouts, two techies and a merc ... we seem suited for a dash and grab rather than any direct confrontations. Keep your eyes peeled, and I suggest we regroup and dash if there's trouble.

Follow the group.

Turn Two: A Flying Start

After their short and slightly violent deliberations, the team start making their move. Taking point, Scion slides open the shuttle's airlock and is immediately met with the derelict ship's exterior door. Not hesitating, she taps at the access panel on the front of the airlock and it rapidly slides open, revealing a small, depressurised antichamber within. Almost instantly, Scion and her deputy point-man Anjuum are violently buffeted by rushing air as the large pressure difference between the shuttle and the airlock is equalised. Both Anjuum (4+1) and Scion (4) spin forwards, unable to resist the rough air current without gravity to assist them, and lightly bump into the wall on the opposite side of the airlock. Thankfully, the only thing harmed in the ordeal was their dignity. Brushing themselves down, the duo stand up and allow the rest of their team to follow in their stead, unmolested by the rowdy laws of physics. The shuttle, no longer burdened by much of its interior atmosphere, closes its door behind Edgrick as he lags slightly behind the main group.

Let's see what we have here. Stand aside, please, let me look at the door locks.
Turn on suit light, examine the control console to determine what needs to be done to open this door. Report findings to the group.

((I'll try Darkling out for a bit and see how I like it. Thanks. Edit: now the purple and dark green are a bit difficult to see. still more or less readable though. I suppose if I increase the font a little it'll work.))

Scion calmed herself. Damnit, she knows what air does in space already. It doesn't take a scientist to figure out, you could figure it out using a water bottle.
A locked door, then. No matter, her crew was prepared. She motioned to Edgrick to cut the door open, herself waiting beside the door.
Wait until Edgrick opens the door and then enter and secure the area.
