What's that? A roleplaying gaming subforum woefully underpopulated by Awesomenauts? My large influx of AWESOME ought to put a stop to that!
No ASCII this time around. Sorry guys. The year, 3588. Conflict spans the stars. Huge armies are locked into enduring stale-Wait, didn't this happen before?
Well, not exactly.
At the end of 3587, the war saw a breakthrough. Upon the conquering of Starstorm, the Ones had the power to decimate the main AI Core of the Zeros, effectively ending the war in their favor.
Soon after that, Blabl Zork was assassinated and a new CEO, the enigmatic 'Mr. Yoos' took over.
Mr. Yoos then took a vey aggressive approach to the development of Zork Industries - building countless armies of mindless, death-bringing robots and replicating the technology of Starstorm station and waging war against the galaxy. A year has passed, and the entire Milky Way was dominated under the grip of now-renamed Yoos Corporation.
Entire planets were relocated and turned into "prisons without bars" - all planets in fact. The only spaceships flying through the largest prison in the universe belonged to Yoos' military forces, patrolling the star systems, transporting prisoners and making sure that no revolution would erupt.
Not even the Awesomenauts could stop this terror - the 'nauts that previously worked for the Ones have since been turned into Mr. Yoos' personal guard, and the few remaining Zeroes' Awesomenauts have been locked away at the harshest and most desolate planetary prisons, away from the civilization, left to starve.
Recently however, Mr. Yoos has gone missing, and without a leader, the Awesomenauts began to fight each other, splitting into the RNG (Royal Net Guard), loyal to the Yoos Corporation, and the GOLF (Galaxy's Omni-Liberation Front) - the revolutionary army, willing to break free of Yoos' reign over the galaxy.
The year is 3588. Conflict spans the stars. Huge armies are locked into enduring stalemate as the galaxy trumbles in terror. Only one force can save it now - the Awesomenauts. The war reaches everyone and that also included you -
[1]. You were a part of the
[2] squad, located on
[3], but you had to be transported to the ship in the orbit due to the critical damage you've taken.
[4] have passed since then and you've been a comatose.
You've just awakened yesterday and were being prepared for a post-coma rehabilitation, but the ship has been assaulted by the enemy and as such, you were sent back down from the orbit, landing in deserted area, away from the fights or any signs of civilization.
1You are...
Ayla - a 9-year-old girl of the Sadak race, known for their psychokinetic powers. Ayla was a veteran of the AI wars of 3587 but lost her third eye in a game of space darts. Since then, she has moved away from shredding her opponents in a fiery ball of psychotic rage to obliterating her enemies using martial arts. Actually, to using telekinesis - because why bother with getting a black belt when you can just about blast anyone away with the force of a railgun?
Offensive, melee, fast. Vavel - originally a cybernetically-enhanced Drake (a dragon-like species) created as a last-resort meant to save the dragonkind from the extinction of being hunted down by poachers and wannabe knights, he found himself exiled when his species was no longer in a threat. Later he found a job in the newly-erupted civil war, defending his allies with a large variety of shields while spraying just about anyone using his wide assortment of combat bionics. The best defense is offense!
Defensive, ranged, medium speed. Marthy - previously a chief engineer and the right hand of the designer of all military weapons and droids used in the '87 AI Wars. The newly exploded civil war has driven her to the creation of a new kind of a droid - a walker droid, which with a bit of spare parts and droids can be made in the heat of battle.
However, she lost part of the blueprints and the project remains incomplete to go into mass production, but more than complete to turn just about any outpost into shreds, be it via the droid's railgun or her own, trusty nailgun.
Support, ranged, slow. 2You were a part of...

Royal Net Guard (RNG)

3You were on...
Krill - a desolate, frozen wasteland. Once famous for its flying fish biscuits, it has since been turned into a large manufacturing complex by the local penguins, melting away its thick icecap, revealing rich Solar veins deep in the frozen ground, causing even higher industralization to follow and causing the flying fish population to go entirely extinct.
"Easy".
AI Station 503 - a space station built within the remains of the original Starstorm station, filled with ancient technology outside the occupied areas. Some say the robots from the ages gone past still patrol the deeper areas of the station, eliminating any intruders foolish enough to explore deep into the heart of the station.
"Medium".
Sorona - once a lush dinosaur planet, it has been turned into a dead post-apocalyptic desert after a nuclear bombardment 500 years ago. It has been a primary battlefield during the 3587 war, and since then the situation has gone worse, with the only safe place being under the ground, due to the terminally high radiation level of the surface. But deep within the sands of Sorona dwell the giant worms, able to swallow just about anyone within the planet's vast Solar mining shafts.
"Hard".
