-Bust Room-
Hm. Interesting. Check out the journal. And maybe look at the Demonic Bust a bit more closely.
(5) You pick up the journal, feeling its hard leather and opening it, you read the only passage within:
“If you've found this first journal, you are on your way out of this wretched place. We arrived here six days ago, on 16 September 1942, though none of us are quite sure why we entered the house. There were six of us, three children, a young couple, and myself.
This place may seem as if it were alive, but it is not so.
It is much worse.
The master of this domain sleeps an endless slumber, his dreams become reality in this house. His nightmares become our reality.
But there is an escape, I found it in a library somewhere in this mansion. An ancient book, written in a strange language. Though I never saw them before, their meaning was clear to me.
The master likes to play a game, and his game requires a champion.
I will hide my next journal in the room down the hallway to the right, find it.
There is only one champion.
There only NEEDS to be one loser.
The master knows.
He sees all. "
(1) You begin to approach the demon bust, but your lack of focus with the journal causes you to trip on something (3) and you fall only barely bracing yourself. Your face smacks the solid ground, bruising your face. This is going to hurt for a bit...
Ok, check that door that moved, look in, but don't go inside yet.
(4) You peak inside, with walls lined with tons of busts. Most don't stand out to you, but one bust stands out a lot, resembling a demon more than a man. One of your traveling companions are in the room. Suddenly, she trips on some object, and hear what sounds like scraping from some hidden switch being activated, launching an arrow across the room! The arrow, thankfully, misses your companion, hitting the demon bust (2 vs 6) and shattering against it without harming it at all! You can't tell if your friend is alright or not... she did drop some kind of journal in her fall.
