Turn 6: Some Things Just Work Out In The End


(4) Suddenly, a voice reverberates throughout the entire mansion. In a deep and booming tone, you all hear one thing said:

“The game has begun!”

One trap roll for the kitchen so that a big pot of boiling soup falls when the door is opened.

And one ghost roll for a very loud, monstrous voice that reverbates through the building, saying "The game has begun!"

(2) Before any enter the kitchen, you attempt to move a boiling pot of soup so it will fall on those soon entering. Unfortunately, you fail to act make it in position. That being said, now there is a delicious pot of boiling soup in the room.

Climbs down the ladder, into the Safe Room and starts looking around.

-Safe Room #1-
You climb down the ladder soon after it is revealed, and quickly looking around. (3) You only get a quick check of the contents of the room before your companion sudden comes down and closes the trapdoor. There is some food, a small amount of medical supplies, and a flashlight and a few batteries. There could still be something else in the room.

Look up at newcomer then into the saferoom.

(4) Looking up toward the mysterious noise makes you notice what made the noise earlier. While you can't actually see him, you CAN see that he is wearing a full suit of platemail. (6) Suddenly, he turns towards you, and his armor suddenly reveals his true nature: across the entire set, eyes open, blinking in reaction to the sudden light, and turn towards you. Instead of just casually walking down the stairs, he immediately quickens his pace towards you, his eyes staring directly at you. You conclude at this moment that it is not really safe to be in the foyer, and you quickly get into the saferoom, (6) rushing down the ladder and remembering to close the trapdoor behind you. If it wasn't for the sole light in the room, you would be blind.

Equipping the table knife, you push open the door to the kitchen...

-Kitchen-
(1) Only, by opening it too quickly, you push over a large pot full of some kind of boiling soup, spilling it all over the floor in front of the entrance way. The room itself, beyond the mess you just created, is what you would expect from a high-class kitchen. The room is easily large enough to fit an entire staff, with several stations meant for various kinds of meals. It is mostly sanitary, if you ignore the mess, and you can see some more proper knifes hanging across the room. Nothing else seems to be inside the room.

(2) Unfortunately, due to your companion's carelessness in opening the door, you slip upon entering the room, landing (1) with your face hitting the edge of a counter (4) before you manage to land back-first into the boiling liquid. You know by the pain in your face that you are bleeding, at least a bit, (2) and your back is getting seared by the soup. You will need help to get out of this.

Look around for something suitable as a weapon, then proceed to the mentioned room.

(2) As far as you can tell, the busts are immobile, and nothing else can be seen. (4) Leaving the bust room, you head to the room mentioned with no problem. The door, however, is partially stuck, so you apply some force to open it. You don't get a good look at the room before your turn is arbitrarily ended.

Follow behind, carefully.

Following behind your companion, you wait as he pushes the door open. (6) Even though he is unable to see, you get a almost perfect appearance of the room you entered.

-Pool Room-

The room is far wider than the one you were just in. A single table for playing pool sits in front of you, several chairs on the edge of the room for those who were waiting their turn, a table for those distracting themselves with gambling. The pool table has a already broken set a pool balls, and from the looks of it that is as far as the game got. One thing, however, stands out. Instead of an 8-ball, you see a hand grenade, jokingly painted with a “8” on it. On one of the corners of the table there is yet another journal like the one you have already read.
