Posting to express interest. I'll start dreaming up a character now. With that much money to start with, I'm thinking of playing a Dread Pirate: http://dndtools.eu/classes/dread-pirate/

Now I just have to figure out what sort of build would be best to get to that prestige class...

As this seems to be a nautical campaign, I'm definitely going to be using Stormwrack. I'm not sure what all I'll be making...possibly a darfellan, those guys are neat.
Man, that book is awesome.
Not a fan of the races, other than the Hadozee, because lol flying monkeys.

Found it hard enough to make a level 3 character, never mind another three levels.
I find this strange, but then again, I would rummage through 5 different supplement books at once and write up characters to level 20 when I got bored.

What are the "WotC" books again? I'm bad with anagrams.
I may be able to make a character without even looking at the books if I can remember them...

Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

Swashbuckler/Bard with Dragonfire Inspiration.  Doubledipping Inspire Courage (Use Dragonfire Inspiration with Bardic Music, then activate the Dread Pirate ability to get your Inspire Courage bonii anyway.)  Swashbuckler is a great nautical class (and a great flavour class as well), and has a sweet ability at 3rd level (+Int bonus to damage).

Wizards of the Coast.
Oh...

That makes sense.

So could I use:
Eborron
The second Player's handbook
The Book of 9 Swords (And possibly Weapons of Destiny)
And maybe Complete Warrior/Mage, if I'm confusing which feats are coming from which books.

I won't even ask for Book of Exalted Feats, because forget that garbage.

Also, though I wouldn't do it, Factotum is best class evar.

That's nothing! I'm making a magic missile stormer. When I get high enough level, I can launch 56d4+56 of unmissable, irresistible damage! (+112 if we go to 20th level and I manage to pick up an Argent Savant level!)

Edit: Speaking of which, here's my sheet for Tarzu

Edit Edit: I'm having trouble coming up with things to burn my last 1000 gold on, any ideas?

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Have I missed something, or does a Shield spell basically negate your class feature entirely?

So there was about 4 different ideas I had, but I think if I do this, I'd be a Fighter.
Specifically, the bullet-sponge tank since it seems that mages will be the dominant damage dealers.

Notably, his class and build borrows heavily from a source that D&D aficionados consider dubious at best.

I'm not one of those aficionados, but the most overpowered stuff I've seen or theorized has been from Dragon Magazine.

What, you don't think unseelie fey is a fair and balanced template?

Not familiar with that template.  Am quite partial to the Spellwarped Mineral Warrior Xvart though.

Oh, time to make another char...!

Question for GM. If I make a eagle totem barbarian, can I consider spot a class skill? It'd sort of make sense...

Also, my char. Actually mostly done. Yet another char from an aborted campaign, re-purposed for use. :)

Edit: Also, any lore about the colder, northern climates would be helpful. Thrush is obviously from someplace cold.

Yeah, ditched the scout idea. I'm currently torn between a wizard/artificer/something similar based around crafting, or a captain. Is leadership allowed, being as it is a pre-requisite for LEGENDARY CAPTAIN!
