Defend the Obvious lady!

You can't DEFEND other players. It's up to them alone. Sorry mate.
o_O

Ok, this happened in the last MF and was not mentioned lately. D: Or..not clarified in terms of exact use.

I don't want to change too much mid-game cause it feels... wrong.

wait ... we can't defend other players? That's ... why not?

Because it seems like the point of the game is to have it be a simple slaughterfest that goes by swiftly so the wait-listers don't need to wait too long. The former point is more important to my reasoning.

1. A defends B while B attacks C who is attacking B. In this scenario A is in no danger from defending B who can attack with less issue. It makes it a less risky thing to do with Attacking and could lead to less death over-all.

2. A attacks D while B attacks C who is attacking B. Here B has to make some tactical decision. Does B defend or attack? Defend will result in no slaughter but Attacking is risky. Maybe Parry would be better cause it could lead to even MORE slaughter but only if other attack B.

I hope I'm explaining this well. I'm trying to make your individual decisions have a huge impact on you.

If you want quick slaughter, why give chainmail a +3 against swords? a +3!

Because I didn't expect every single die possible to be weighted to land on a 4. Besides there are other weapon types.

Besides there are other weapon types.

But if you have a sword and there is no weapon switching, you are pretty screwed if the game's armor situation ends up like it has. You will pretty much have to die and get a new character to change weapons as it is.

Waiting on Nightcrafter27/James.

I'm thinking... Maybe swords SHOULD get a +1 to parry? I'd like to ask the players before I make this change mid-game due to it being a mid-game change. If a majority are in favor I will change it. If a majority are not or don't vote than I won't.

are you gonna do what the other game did, where, if the person is inactive for a certain length of time, other players can post their action?

“DIPLOMACY TIME BITCHES!” Jenny shouts as she rushes forward to meet her fellow caveman Henry in battle. While the male caveman was heavily distracted in his duel with James the extra adversary doesn’t seem to pressure him too much as he simply raises his shield to block the new onslaught of blows.

“You can’t block us both forever!” James taunts as he comes very close to ending the Caveman’s life.

With a smirk Henry replied “I don’t have to.” Just in time to see a spear erupt from James’ arm rendering it mostly useless. Said spear belonging to Roliep who had given Henry just the opening he needed to focus more on defending Jenny Longhorn’s attacks.

Elsewhere Elton and Knight Matis are enacting a similar exchange with the aptly named Ms. Pretty Obvious who, despite being attacked by two opponents, seemed pretty obviously bored with the exchange “I’m holding a literal wall here ye bastards. Couldn’t you go harass someone else?”

“I will never allow an insurgent such as yourself to live!”

“Funny, I could say the same to you.”

Watching from a few meters away Fane Ravien called to Cromwell Jackson “Comrade! We must give assistance to Ms. Pretty Obvious. Elton seems to be their leader. I say we disarm him at the very least so she can focus on the other.”

“As you will it my commander.” Cromwell said kicking Alex Shater away from himself as the duo charged the trio exchanging blows.

“Elton! No!” Alex Shater shouted as he recovered from the kick. Running with all the speed he could muster he slammed into the wall of steel that was Fane Ravien hoping to knock her over for an easier kill. Unfortunately for him the Centurion armor gave her a much better leverage to stay standing.

Holding onto her as well as he could he shouted “You filthy pirate! You shall not harm Elton!”

With an almost casual backhand Fane Ravien managed to knock the clinging man off of her long enough to dash forward “Die tyrant!” She shouted as her attack landed on the unaware Elton shearing off one of his arms effortlessly.

“I couldn’t agree more!” Alex Shater, having finally caught up to his much faster companion brought his own hatchet down to disarm, quite literally, the screaming man.

“AWAAAAAAAAGH!” Elton shouted before a second swing from Fane Ravien’s hatchet gave him a little less to worry about. Namely breathing. Due to having no throat to breath with.

“Elton!” Came a shout from elsewhere in the battle as a previously occupied man wielding a hatchet, a small shield, and armor nearly rivaling Fane Raviens dashed into the fray. Luke was this man’s name and he had sworn, in that very moment, to not rest until all those who had been responsible for his dear friend’s death were vanquished.

Well good news. After this turn all swords will be gaining a +1 to parry rolls due to the whole... 8:1 vote. So yeah. Enjoy that.
