You mean like the guy with stealth armor suppressed guns and advanced optics as well as stealth and tracking training? I'm a scout in addition to marksman. pistol, blade and demo.

Hopefully a quiet jetpack as well.

No. That's not what I mean for a scout.

I mean the guy on the hover cycle with a cloaking field, advanced sensors, a mine sensor, the ability to get by cameras, motion detectors, infrared detection sensors, etc.

Spy/assassin =/= scout. Unless you think you'll be the guy taking point. As in, a kilometer or two ahead of us.

Well that person would be dead in a day. Noisy bike in enemy territory they'll get murdered. Better to scout from high ground quietly rather then draw attention.

I think you overestimate the distance it can be heard from, considering that full on jeeps are often used as recon vehicles, if I remember correctly.

You aren't a scout. You're a sniper. It's fine, dude. You're stealth+power, I'm talking about stealth+speed.

It depends on what the engine is. If it is say an electric it wont be that easy to hear.

I don' expect my pack to be quiet but the key problem. How will you carry a big enough generator to recharge it? The enemy ain't gonna let us use there's and we can't afford to attack enemy depos every night to recharge it and running it with a stealth system will drain it's power rapidly. I doubt it'd even last a day. That's the key reason I don't like it, it will either require us to attack every day drawing to much attention or we'll have to dump it.

Sending 1 of 6 people out alone in enemy territory where they have every advantage is just throwing away one of our squad.

PATRICK. It's called scouting. It's a real thing. We have support. It doesn't necessitate going into the enemy's goddamn camp. You're making assumptions when we don't know either way. You're making statements that are just incorrect(I have a stealth field, a hover cycle, and a person watching my back with a UAV that has missiles. Obviously they have every advantage).

I was making an example. You aren't a goddamn scout. You are a sniper, and a spy. All have to do with stealth. That doesn't mean they're the same thing.

I mean...Jesus Christ, man. How the fuck will we carry a big enough generator to recharge your jet pack? It sure isn't as efficient as a motorcycle, I'll tell you that.

You're just trying to find problems that don't exist because you want to be able to do everything on the team. Or at least that's what it looks like. Seriously, dude. Just stop.

Also, it is a team. If we have a group scouting there will be two people. Same with snipers. Hell, you two probably will be working together most of the time.

Most scouting is done by infantry for covert operations or is by uav or sat. Not by jeep. Jeeps are rarely used for scouting for an operation that requires you to avoid detection.

A UAV with missiles will of course out match our enemy on there home ground because of course they have no air force or stingers.

I don't want to do everything or Id have better armor and be more heavily armed rather then light and quiet just pointing out that the bike adds a lot of extra issues that have to be covered which is an issue for such a small unit if we want to avoid being hunted by the whole enemy army.

Not likely I'll rarely be in close proximity to the rest of you, not worth the risk of somebody missing one of you and hitting me when I'm hidden.

What? You're just going to destroy the expensive piece of equipment? Why? We aren't out in the middle of nowhere against an entire enemy army, dude. This isn't Expedition to Mars.

Again. Example. Are people on motorcycles never used for scouting? What about recon planes, with people in them? Were horses not used for scouting? My UAVs aren't designed for recon(I wanted some recon UAVs, though), and satellite imagery is only so good, besides tree cover and possibility of not having satellite coverage. And infantry is great. But if you're up ahead of everyone like a scout and get found, you're not gonna be fast enough to get out safely. Jet packs aren't actually all that fast either, and if you dump it like you say, what then? This isn't a small group of unsupported specialists against a country full of insurgents, it's a group of experts with backing from their military trying to do, I'm fairly sure, certain specialized missions against an enemy organized military force.

Because a strike fighter can hit a four foot UAV. Maybe a stinger could. Sometimes. If they see it. It's for backup, it's not meant to overpower them. You were saying they had every advantage. I was showing you they didn't. He gets found, I give covering fire, he gets away(hopefully), I might lose the UAV(hopefully not). If you think they have every advantage against him, they'll have every advantage against all of us anyway.

Right. The enemy army has nothing better to do than hunt a single squad down. Besides the part that it really doesn't. In fact, us not having vehicles probablys adds more issues than a motorcycle.

You'll probably be behind and/or off to one side, right? Though, that's a really silly idea anyway...(the missing us and hitting you part) But if you're in either of those positions, how will you scout?

I was going to scout ahead but if we have a dedicated scout I'm more use outside the group as a wildcard. My character is flexible enough to be more use when not hampered by people less skilled. His stealth is wasted in close proximity to you lot who stick out so if I'm not scouting I'll be nearby out of sight.

Well alright then. My question is this now: how are you a wild card?

I mean, I can tell exactly what you're best suited for. Sniping, sabotage, assassination. Spy stuff. Maybe laying traps, or giving us info as we go through a stationary location that a scout wouldn't be able to. I just don't see how you're any more of a wild card than the rest of us. Maybe I'm missing something. But still.

Simple. if the enemy ambushes all of you which of us is best suited to turning an ambush for example?

3 people who will make so much noise the moment they move in that the enemy will know you've arrived? Or the guy who can drop a squad 1 by 1 in complete silence to open an escape route and plant explosives to distract the enemy when you move.

Of our group my characters skill set is by far the best suited to being the wild card of the group because I have special forces level training in blades, pistols and scoped weaponry and above special forces level stealth and stalking training plus stealth armor as well as demo training. My skill set is the most varied which allows me the most flexibility when reacting to situations.

Look at you 3.

A medic with heavy weapons, good for supporting fire and keeping us fit but limited other uses.
A combat engineer, heavily armed and armored but this also makes him slower and noisy.
Support engineer, very slow, heavily armored, medium armaments and limited support capability.

Each of you 3 is built more as a supporting aspect or as a piece to build a full team, where as I'm built both for support and solo operations. None of you have the skill set to operate alone like I do.

Then mine, medium armed with short, mid and long range capability including AP, HE and HP munitions as well as explosives, lightly armored but with stealth system. Arguably one of the nations best when it comes to stealth and stalking as well as elite level combat training and explosive training.
Of us 4 which one of us will be best suited to moving alone and reacting to enemy threats quickly without causing a bigger commotion?
I can take out infantry, aircraft and vehicles alike completely alone and without exposing the group in the process.

So which of us 4 is best suited to being the wild card of the group and staying unknown to the enemy until they need to move in? As I see is the most important trait for the wild card to have is the ability to remain undetected.
