I tried this game out, and it was kind of fun.

Unfortunately, when I attempted to join a bot game a few minutes ago, it got stuck on the first confirmation screen for five minutes. Afterwards, it said that I had been removed from the matchmaking pool.

Now I have an abandon on my account. This is frustrating, to say the least.

The large majority of people would apparently rather die to you than buy wards or dust early on.

'Tis why Shadow Blades and Riki do so well in pubs.  ::)

That's strange, and luckily abandons don't count too much other than the whole "Low priority queue," and that only lasts for a day.

You only go into low priority if you abandon repeatedly over a short period of time (I believe it's a week, but not sure). The duration of low priority also increases exponentially the more you enter it.

You're bound to get a few abandons as you play. Nobody's internet is 100% stable and computers crash. However, as long as you don't ruin every other game you join, you're fine. I have two or three abandons I think, but you can't find them on my game history as they're all actually wins. It's just that I dc-ed out in the middle of the game and rejoined when the abandonment timer ticked out.

I think it was the first blood update where they changed the penalty for abandons from a time limit into a certain number of games in the low priority. I was in it once (post update), and let me tell you it sucks. People disconnecting from low priority made me laugh, because I would have thought you would want to get out of there asap. I nearly asked people what they were in for on more than one occasion, as well. :P

Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).

Here's a guy who plays Dota 2 with a PS3 controller: http://www.twitch.tv/victorgaming/b/488588312

Valve liked it so much they sent him a Steam controller to try out. I think you can see it in his other videos.

I've actually been trying to do something similar with an xbox controller. I've had some problems with the mouse sensitivity though, I haven't seen any programs that let you use exponential multipliers for joysticks.

I just had a one hour game with lich in which I had the most kills in the game even though I was the only support. Void ulti + lich ulti + refresher is ridiculous. I'm really glad their doom just kept trying to doom invoker late game even tho me and void were the biggest threats.

Lich is a solid hero, particularly now that he actually gives you xp from the creep you deny. Frost Nova is just so damn powerful in the laning stage and a good Chain Frost will ruin an enemy team even at 45 minutes.

I always play as Lich. If you use the thingy that reduces enemy magic resistance, you can get a ton of kills. Frost Nova is nice for preventing people from escaping.

Never considered Veil on Lich, but that's a solid mid / lategame item. I'll try it out next time. :D

Quick tip. The stun on Lich's ult is instant. That means if you see someone teleporting away, just ult him. He'll get stunned even before the frozen ball hits him.

Yea, it ministuns as soon as you cast it, meaning it breaks channeling of all types. Lich is a really solid hero because his ultimate does absurd damage even in the later stages of the game if you have aghanim's or veil. Combined with a strong ulti that keeps people togheder, like void's or enigma's, it can eliminate most of the enemy team (I got an ultra kill using it + q). The whole game has some pretty hilarious mistakes and moments and I got the replay if anyone wants, it was a fun comeback against a fed doom.

Patiently waiting for lord of the pit and winter wyvern so I can teleport the whole team in and out of roshan and cause the enemy team to kill themselves, respectively.
