Well I'd like us to be blue and our semi enemy red. But name wise I have no idea.

Except then you have to make an entirely new design to make mobile AA.
We have a very good 15mm autocannon/HMG. I don't see the point not to use it.

Ideally we need something on a larger caliber if we have clairvoyance to see larger bomber incoming in the future; but if we don't see planes necessitating larger guns the 15mm should serve us really well.

We don't really need a tank. If someone landed on us, we don't have much use of tanks; if they couldn't get to us, then SPGs will be more useful than tanks any time of the day.

Anyway, the map is pretty much finished. Scales are not right, and there's little detail, but I hope it suffices.

Legend:
Squares = Capital cities
Other Squares = Fortresses
Triangles: Mountains
The Cross: Military Dockyard. Also, in this case, us.

I like the map. Did make some things clearer - I had thought crow's island to be one of the islands near the enemy...
As for country names, I've found a country name generator. How about: Wellby, Newbrook, Dellwyn and/or Silverbourne?

The map is not to scale. The distance isn't that large. You can't swim across, but launching a properly protected naval assault is possible.

Something like that. Probably a bit wider. You'd be able to see across on a good day, from a good vantage point.

Static has issues.

You can't cover everything with a static defense piece and something moving fast can rush past it.
You need a healthy mix of static and mobile to provide full cover which is why I made my truck.

It can mount light artillery and AA on the back to provide mobile support to reinforce the static line or to be moved into weak spots to block them.

We actually have a fantastic spot for static defense. Along the mountains where only air power can get over, if we build entrenched long range bombarment and AA positions, we could wreak havoc on the enmies air force and their country.

In the valleys we could build literal fortresses that block the enemy from moving through. Concrete fortresses with proper gates and and all, multi layered with each layer supporting to other. MGs, Heavy MGs, AT guns, field guns and AA all entrenched would be near unbeatable. With more AA high up in the mountains on either side, the enemy air force would not be able to get close.

For counter battery, build more bombardment fortifications in the mountains which have an unobstructed view of possible attacks by enemy artillery.

depends how big the hole is.

Or we could just do a Sigfried/maginot line idea and have layers of heavily armed bunkers supported by tank traps, trenches and the like.

Well, the literal fortresses are, but the mountain ones are really decent. With a bit of concealment, we could easily use them as ambush points if they try attacking us.

Ninjaedit: that's a better idea Kahn. If we can put a defence line in the mountains however, any land war with us becomes a very daunting affair. Keep our navy sharp along with our airforce, and we shouldn't worry about any attacks on our home soil.
