I think it's policy. There haven't been any sales, ever. :P

I thought it was money well spent in any case. A sale could maybe save you a candy bar.
For other countries it's cheap-ish like that! :I (Or I'm blind to jokes like I usually am!)
Here, it's a matter of hundreds of pesos! D:
Like, say right now. It's at around 759.something pesos. That's...expensive. Especially for a college student like me >_> A sale of around 25%/50%/75%! means saving weeks to months of money. Or at least in my case anyway. :-[
But I agree--money well spent. But...yeah. >.<

I assume this is because it is still in Alpha.

If it relies on CCL, I think I read an estimate for that of "around Halloween".   I really want Fluffy's Work tab...

Huh. I just finally got around to downloading some mods, after not having played for a while.
It seems that Combat Realism isn't compatible with the current version? Or did I download the wrong mod? ???

Nope, that's correct.  Anything that relies on the Community Core Library can't be updated until the CCL is updated, unless they strip out the dependencies.  I believe Combat Realism's ammunition system relies on CCL, so doing that would gut a key balance aspect of the mod.  It looks like the estimated ETA on the CCL is October 31, but that's far from a promise due to some major refactoring work that was necessary for this version.  Once that comes out, people will be able to start updating other CCL-dependent mods like Combat Realism and the like.  Just in time for Alpha 16. :P

So CCL is to rimworld what DFHack is to DF. If I'm understanding correctly.

So Rock,Paper,Shotgun put Rimworld in the center of a very ugly shitstorm. The developer didn't help by losing his temper in the comments (Somewhat justified, I think).

Yeah...

I disagree with the dev's politics, but I think that article really dials it up to 11. Half the people I know would agree with him.
The closing shot about editorial control seems petty to me, because so far as I can discern he simply didn't want his quotes altered.
Demonisation of conservatives really frustrates me.

I wonder how big this will blow up?
