There's sort of a hidden HP system. Do enough trauma to someone and they'll just keel over for seemingly no reason. It's been a long-standing issue.
Huh, interesting. That explains a few odd moments.
I ended up savescumming to avoid that death. The guy just distractedly rejected his girlfriend's marriage proposal whilst sitting on his ass watching TV.
His girlfriend's the same one who went on the berserk rampage I was talking about a few pages ago... I wouldn't be upsetting her if I were him.
In other, more troubling news, I just had a crash-landing. Not your usual sort, either.
Part of an ancient ship crashed nearby and began emitting poison into the ground around it. The game advised me to destroy it as soon as possible, so I dispatched my shooters to take up position to fill it full o' lead. This... well, I wasn't expecting mechanoids to come out of it. Oh shite. This could be very bad. D:
The only mechanoids I've fought before were the ones in an old structure near the colony... I basically set up a turret outside and funnelled them all into a tiny gap to get slowly shot to pieces, with another turret further down the tunnel just in case. I think the spacers who awoke from the cryopods did most of the damage, really, the turret just finished them off.
This time, though, the monsters are on the loose. Oh dear.
My colony has survived some pretty nasty stuff, let's see if it manages to scrape through this situation as well.
