I just realized that Monk has been smelting iron ore into steel rather than using iron bars. This isn't supposed to be possible, and has been going on for quite some time. Shit.

So just change that stuff to Iron retroactively? It's only fair. It's a bit of a bitch for him [and you obviously] but I'd think in the nature of fairness everyone would be alright with it. If neccesary let him keep 25% of the steel?

Well he should have been paying 2 more coal per bar than he has been, so what I could do is make him have a sort of coal debt that he has to pay off before he can smelt anything further. That would be easiest, but maybe it's too unfair for everyone else.

Ah balls, that makes the Balrog something of a sticky subject. Obviously I favor the coal debt to anything else, if we go with the retcon Iron route I ask fair warning so I can go amend my turn (more than I already must, anyway.)

As far as the Kobold Crusade, the Dwarves have a zero-tolerance policy as far as artifact weapon theft goes, and we have no desire to see our furry-footed mithril-mining brethren pass from this world. We have neither safe farmland nor surplus food to donate, but we stand in solidarity (wielding arms and armor of indeterminate quality.)

I am perfectly content to let Monk just have a coal debt. If it were tactically important to anyone besides Monk, someone would haven noticed.

and so it was that the racist Elves, Humans, Dwarves, and Halflings all succumbed to their racisism and blamed the Kobolds for stealing everything in the world. Poor misunderstood Kobolds.

[Some artistic liscence is taken in these retellings.]]

The elves are not raciest! We, the elves, haven't provoked them! They're the ones wanting to still our stuff. XD

Maybe they wouldn't have to if you stilled your own stuff. I mean, jeez, elves make one of the best forms of alcohol and yet see fit to do so sparingly?

Monk's stocks have been changed to reflect the coal debt. Do Terra and Ship intend to post their turns soon (said the hypocrite)?

Mmkay, turn slightly modified as unemployed furnace operators look for work. Hopefully the king will pay better attention to his economic policy in the future :P

WOOO! ECONOMIC DOWN TURN! This means that the dwarves must now begin to worship a new king. A king with a manly mustache!

Dwarves eat economic downturns for breakfast with a side of fried mushrooms and a tall flagon of ale. The furnaces shall not be put out for anything petty such as a deficit of fuel.

I don't think you understand what's happening here Mr. Sauce. For too long have Beards dominated the dwarvern mind. Moustaches are the way of the future!
