Julius stared at the door dejectly before setting out to search for the nearest tavern.

The nearest tavern, named 'The Drunken Goat', as claims the sign above the door, was full of people thanks to recent military victory. Indeed, many patrons were drinking on the streets, occupying benches and chairs hastily placed outside the, presumably fully packed, establishment.

Julius pushed open the door and looked around for someone who looked like a tailor.

There was a plethora of people that could be tailors, from men to women to youths to elders.

Julius gave a sigh and went over to the door. Since he was here he might as well just get on with the meeting. Maybe Fyra would be able to help procure the items he was looking for anyways.

Peeking out the door, he called out to Grifen to come over for the meeting. He had left her somewhere nearby here if his memory wasn't faulty.

After waiting to see if she showed up, he then went back inside and looked around for the nearest employee and hailed them over.

"Hello, I'm looking for a barmaid named Guinne?"

Eventually, after meandering through the streets for a time, Miguel finally at long last arrived at the correct inn. But he was in good spirits, and under his breath he was singing a song about a young man and a lusty bar maid. It went a little like this!

: "Well truth be told, ye have me sold! Tralala, my lady!~ Ba, nada bum tish, ba, nada bum tish bum.~"

Upon entering the stable he smiled.

: "Aha! Ahoy there red for head! I do hope Sancho has been giving you too much trouble. I fear he is a naughty horse."

With a clean motion he wheeled Sancho away from Ciera and pulled out a brush. Time to clean the horse for a little while!

"Oh no, don't worry! I've just given him a few treats and have been petting him. He seems like a very nice horse. I haven't had any problems with him at all."

A brunette maid, with impressive set of spiral-braided raven hair reaching her waist, smiled at Julius.

"I am Guinne." She said, and stared at Julius, especially his face.

"Hmm, mayhaps you are our regular customer Julius?"

: "Good!" Said Miguel. He quickly set himself to the task of getting Sancho's coat back into pristine and working order. Every once and a while, he slips in a bit of a strange green goo that he had gotten some a while ago and massages it in. The old horse seems to appreciate the gesture.

: "I'm glad to hear hasn't been too fussy. He's an old nag you see. In horse years, he's just about as old as I am and cantankerous to boot!"

He paused.

: "Though come to think of it, it's a damn near a miracle he's not dead already. Sancho wasn't trained to be a warhorse ye see."

Ciera giggled a little.

"Well sir, you know what they say. Mounts take after their owners, so he must have gotten that cantankerous side from somewhere. Perhaps he's just stubborn and that's why he hasn't died yet. He knows he needs to keep going to keep you safe."

: "Hohoho! Perhaps!" Miguel chortled. "We do both seem to die hard, don't we old fellow? Hohoho!"

He sighed contently.

: "Ah yes... Oh! Now what keeps a young girl like you in today, hmm?"

"Oh... uhm, well, I had been out a bit! I was looking for weapons and such but none of the equipment they have here really interests me, so I was just wandering around and then... yeah, I came back here to check on Mazin here."

Miguel nodded courteously.

: "A fine thing to do! A good rider is nothing without a good horse."

He thought for a little bit, then turned to her swiftly.

: "Come to think of it, how does she ride? That Pegasus of yours. I've never actually been this close to one."

"Oh, it's amazing! Being able to fly like that... Well, except the one time I fell off and broke my arm, but that was right when we were starting to work together so that hardly counts! But it truly is just... freedom."

The old man inadvertently let loose a loud, wistful sigh. Seems like a soft spot has been struck beneath his armor!

: "Aaah yes. The youthful joys of riding! There truly is nothing like it, is there?"

: "Why, when I was a young, young lad, that's how I used to pick up the chicks! I'd ride up on my old mangly stallion Innskeep, and all the young lasses would be falling right over me to get a ride with old Miguel Cervantes! I'd play the role of dashing young knight in shining armor, they my damsel in distress. We would gallivant all over the countryside as if we were prancing on air, wishing the hours away! Goodness what a time! Then I'd return them home late at night, safe and sound and get an earful from my father. Ohohoho!"

An old thought crossed his face and he put his brush down for a moment. His eyes glazed over, staring at something beyond the wall in the distance.

: "Ah yes... Those were the days."
