The historian nodded, trying to jot down what the emperor said to memory. He's... Not sure if he can pull off some of it, but he'll give his best.

Watching the emperor look at the strange remains and bodies that litter the tombs, the scholar concurred with Julius. "I've been wondering that since we arrived to this tomb, among a few other things about this place. They all appear to have fallen to wounds of some kind, but..." The man trailed off, the question asked.

Alec paced around hurriedly, obviously thinking hard.: "This is... way too much info to believe secondhand. Just how long are they going to stay in there?

@Tombraiders:

"These? These are Magi, each and every one that lived when I started my crusade. I personally ended them all." He moved past each alcove.

"Eusebius of Dia, the tyrant of my hometown. Algus Wyvernskin, Bloody Prince Shallar, Riven the Horde Queen, Aramachius the Cruel, Ula of the Seas, Valde the Maiden-hound, Jabba the Fat... few others I do not remember anymore..." He stopped, reminiscing about very, very old times.

"Be glad you didn't live in my times. It was time of cruelty, despair and death."

The historian examined the skeletons in a new light now, regarding them curiously, before frowning at them. He's heard of these names. They weren't names he was exactly fond of.

"It was a dark time indeed." After a moment of thought, the scholar continued. "Hiding their bodies away was a wise move. We've encountered people, or perhaps things might be a better term, who I would struggle to call alive or dead. Namely a duke. Until we killed him, at least." The scholar sniffed, remembering the former duke of Kretos. Fezz shivered involuntarily.

Julius looked at the skeletons with wide eyes as he recognized some of the names from stories he had heard. While he didn't say it out loud, now he felt much more interested in hearing what Troy had to say about the distant past. He could scarcely imagine what kind of untold stories the ghost had in his memories.

@Tombraiders:

"Monsters had many shapes and abilities in my times. A person that is a monster was the least of things one could encounter..." His ghastly shine waned briefly. "But do you have any questions? I apologize for not mentioning it earlier, but my time as an apparition is limited to about half an hour every few years, and you're reaching the limit. I should stop reminiscing and help before I will have to resume my rest."

Fezz nodded but frowned. There were so many questions he would love to ask: why the tomb was hidden, why he was still here, how things were in the past. It nearly broke his heart that he had to instead parse it down to simply the most important or relevant.

"During our time, we've faced both the forces of the current rebellion and empire. But we've also been beset upon by a third faction, one headed by the church of the dragon it seems. They attacked us before, indeed they tried to force their way into this tomb, and they use forbidden and strange magic. Your mention of the last dragonstone... Its hard not to imagine that they might have it, and possibly use it against us. If they've no compunctions to use berserk staffs and strange magics against both empire and rebellion forces... I fear what they might accomplish with the dragon stone. I know some of the horrors that can be accomplished with it."

"If you know of its last location, we can seek it and destroy it. Something like that, it shouldn't still exist. Its too dangerous."

Ciera sat, alternating between staring at the door, staring at Sheila and the others, and taking quick glances at Alec who was pacing nearby. The confusion and stress that was going on around them was getting to her and she shuddered slightly. Standing up, she walked over to Alec. Quietly, she said to him,

"Look, I... All the worrying and the stress... I just want to get away from it for a bit. I think I'm going to go wait outside the cave for people to get back. If... If you wanted to come with me... I know you said you had some questions you wanted to ask me. I... I wouldn't object. I just... need to get away from the tomb for a while I think."

@Tombraiders:

"It's in the Imperial Palace, stashed in the shrine devoted to my name, in the Royal Chambers. The Crown Blade can open the chest containing the Fire Emblem by proximity." He chuckled. "Of course, it's been almost two centuries... Hard to believe that someone wouldn't get it open, using other means of course, by now. And yes, I bestow upon you this additional task of destroying the Fire Emblem. The Empire should survive without help of ancient trinkets, is what I believe."

Grifen decided to approach the Imperial Commander.

: "Excuse me, ma'am? If ya don't mind me askin', how have you been livin' up here? I mean, I don't see a house, or even a tent. There ain't a lot of food up here. And it don't seem like ya ever go inside the tomb. How do you do it?"

@Outsiders:

"I don't? When I returned to my mansion, I learned of the theft of the papers. So I had the entire collection of my family's library inventoried. When I found out what kind of papers was missing, I rushed here. Spent here maybe a day before Manna Divola showed up. And then you and that Matilda. There's also a small abandoned mining outpost north of here. I was preparing to spend the night there if needed, but deemed it too risky to leave the tomb unsupervised... still, I wouldn't be able to be here for long. I was able to fulfill my family's duties only by a huge stroke of luck, basically."

As much as the two of them wished to hear about the first emperor's past, Julius decided to cut to the important bits if they were on a time limit.

"So those families you mentioned... I believe I may have come across the name Forsaken in a couple old stories I've heard, but I can't say I've heard either name in regards to the current day. Do you have any suggestions as to where would we want to start looking for them? And were there any others of those reforms you had in mind that didn't get implemented?"
