Leo merely watched the trio's antics, from the headlock up until they started speaking to Alec. Since it wasn't any of his business, he closed his eyes and returned to meditating.

:"Er... Candy, you mentioned an "Amana" person after the battle, didn't you? Who's that?"

Candy was staring out the main hall's windows when Efa approached. It was starting to rain again, the water pooling up in the hills below the keep, running off into the hard muck below. Candy didn't turn to meet Efa's gaze. He stood there, smoking his pixie stick, eyes fixed on a gruesome past and its consequences. His mouth began to move in a slow, grizzled fashion.

: "It was a day like any other. Some hysterical dame was on the other line. I was reassuring her: No, baby, don't cry. We'll find your John. We'll find him... with the power of dance. Just then, the door swung open, harsh light flickering 'round the edges of some stocky silhouette. My hand moved, with a trained instinct, to the glitter gut in my coat..."

Alec, sitting on a small outcropping in the hallway, was staring at the Artist's Mark that Ram dropped on him earlier. Turning it to different angles, the light reflected off of it in a rainbow of colors, and Alec's attentive eyes darted across, trying to look for its trick.

That is, until the trio burst out into the hallway, Ciera in headlock, meandering towards him.
: "Hey Ladies. Doing quite well, actually. Don't know what it is, but my mind's feeling a bit clearer lately." Alec twirled the Artist's Mark in his hand and then pocketed it away, "Not at all, Lil' Miss. Think Mop-top's got it all covered."
Alec craned his head to look at Ciera from under the headlock.
: "I uh, don't think that's the best way to be carting our friend around, sea-legs."

Leo opened his eyes at Candy's grim tone and stared at the fairy.

"Dear Dragon, he's gone mental again..."

His tone was a quiet mutter.

That fucking bat wing/noir Candy. XD

Efa stared.
Efa stared longer.
Efa put her palm to her face.
:"I-- uh-- what. You're gray agai-- I am not doing this shit again."

Julius raised his eyebrow.

"You're saying he's done this before?"

"I suppose that's true." Sheila didn't let go."Glad to hear you're feeling well though, Ciera here was a bit concerned you might have a bit of resentment or something after she impaled you. You should set her mind at ease." Sheila unwrapped her arm from Ciera's neck and shoved the pegasus rider toward the bard before grabbing Grifen and pulling her away. "We'll just leave you two to it."

:"Kinda? It wasn't QUITE the same, less of the weird tough-guy stuff and more "my magic is gonneeee"?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Yes. Last time it was, I believe, because he was tricked into eating boiled crab, and faeries aren't allowed meat. He and Efa apparently went into a dream world to right a great wrong? I'm not certain on the details. It looks like Efa wants no part of it this time."

He indicated the archer's reaction.

"That's not what I was saying... Not quite. I... Gah."

She couldn't straight out say that she knew he'd still be her companion and be civil but didn't think he'd want to get romantically involved. Not with him right here. Instead she just settled for a pleading glance at the other two girls, trying to get them to stay.

"I just don't think it's that easy to ignore the fact that someone stabbed you. Or... something?"

: "I narrowed my eyes, adjusting to the light. It was my bastard brother Amana Divola. Strolled right over to my desk with that pompy, haughty walk of his. Said he'd got a tip: General Divola was kicking the bucket tonight. He left as quick as he came, but I wised up fast. He didn't want nothin'. Was it a plot? Had the old MannAmana duo gotten together? No. I hadn't seen Manna since he tried to stab Joey the Wall in military school and got himself twisted up. They say he walks backwards now. Say his feet's on wrong. Just the kind thing that happens to the bad eggs 'round Troy."

Efa narrowed her eyes at Candy, using her increasingly-honed nonsense-sifting skills to decipher what he was saying.
:"So... er, he's your brother? And he was at the battle? Divola... that's your last name, then, probably, and if it's General Divola...

...oh."

[Furtuka]

"Righting a great wrong you say? Fascinating. What was this dreamworld like?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I can only guess, but given what I've heard the two of them talk about... I think it involved most of us, except... the wrong sex?"

Leo shrugged.

"I don't really understand it."
