[Blade Master Model 42]

Sheila waved to Grifen and Ciera as they entered the room. "Hey girls? How are you both feeling? That last battle was a pain, eh?"

[Sirus]

Grifen waved and pulled Ciera along closer to the pirate.

: "Heya Sheila. Glad to see yer not frozen anymore." When she got close enough, she lowered her voice.

: "Ciera got hit with some magic that made her go crazy and hurt Alec. I'm tryin' to get her to cheer up...got any ideas?"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Oh yeah, I saw that go down. It was freaky, like she was a totally different person. That magic is no joke, I'm glad Leo would never use that sort of thing." Sheila looked up at Ciera and gave her a friendly slap on the back. "How ya holdin' up?"

[Swordstar]

"Just... feel useless. Can't do anything right. Feel like I should just... give up on stuff we talked about earlier. I... I stabbed him. No one in their right mind would... be interested in someone who did that. It's like you said. It was freaky."

[Blade Master Model 42]

Sheila laid her arm across Ciera's shoulders and pulled her into a sideways half hug. "Hey, don't go beating yourself up over it! He's not gonna hate you, it was out of your hands. Besides, sometimes you hurt people you love. And it's important to forgive them, and not let it ruin what you have between each other. And I think Alec knows that, y'know?"

[Swordstar]

Ciera kicked at the floor, and shrugged.

"There's a difference between... you know, hurting someone with your words and almost killing them... 'sides, pretty sure he just views me as his little sister. But it's ok. Really. So it doesn't work out. That's ok. It happens."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"...Wasn't really talking about words. Okay girls, I'm going to tell you something, but this doesn't leave us, okay? It's private and I have the feeling if Leo knew then things between him and my dad would be worse." Sheila took a deep breath, and began narrating. "So, when I was a little girl, my dad showed up for the first time in my life and took me away from my mom to live with him. He was a pirate, and he targeted Imperial shipping. And I was just a little girl, so I'd always have to hide whenever there was a fight and afterwards I'd find that people had died or were badly hurt- Even my dad nearly died more times than I can remember. So when I was about... Uh, I dunno, probably twelve or something, I got him to teach me to fight. After a lot of convincing. And he fights best with an axe, so that's what he taught me to use. I was getting better all the time, but one day... I pushed a little too hard, and I almost hurt him badly. And he sort of reacted, and, well..." Sheila indicated her scar as if there was any need to do so. "So my dad is freaking out, I'm spilling blood all over the deck, it's a mess. That's the last thing I remember that day; my dad standing right over me, begging me not to die. I woke up a couple of days later. Apparently our stock of medicine had spoiled and my wound didn't shut properly right away. But I couldn't blame my dad for that. Accidents happen, it's life. I'm sure Alec wouldn't hold it against you either."

[Swordstar]

Ciera stared at the ground. The first thought that popped into her head was that what had happened with Sheila and her dad had happened in a training accident, where that sort of thing while wasn't expected was understood to happen. There was a big difference, at least in her mind, between that and stabbing someone on your side in the middle of a battle. But she wasn't going to say that right now since it seemed to be insensitive. So instead she just shrugged and quietly said,

"I didn't know. Sorry."

[Sirus]

: "Oh jeez. Sheila, I'm so sorry." She gave the larger woman the best hug she could manage.

[Blade Master Model 42]

"It's fine. I accepted it a long time ago, and it doesn't seem to bother Leo, so it's all good. Besides Ciera, you weren't yourself! That magic did cooky stuff to your head. Not like you can blame an axe for the hands that swing it, y'know? I guess I was pretty lucky, just not being able to move."

[Swordstar]

"Should've been able to resist it. Did a couple of times. But... I didn't. And instead I stabbed him."

[Sirus]

: "So they got lucky! It weren't you that stabbed him, just some crazy thing that looked like ya!"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Wait, you got touched by that spell a couple of times? Damn, no wonder you went down. That probably builds up I bet. And he's fine now! Not even a scar, he got healed with magic! C'mon, let's go talk to him, I'm sure he's forgotten all about it." Sheila tightened her grip on Ciera, turning her half hug into something more akin to a headlock.

Sheila began pulling Ciera toward Alec, wanting to get the issue put to rest. She was certain that Alec wouldn't even consider holding a grudge over the incident. "Alec, yoohoo! Us girls just wanted to check on you, make sure you're okay after that fight."

[Sirus]

Grifen did her best to stifle her giggles.

: "Ya feelin' okay, Alec? I could touch up the healing preacher gave ya if yer still sore."

[Swordstar]

Ciera tried to push her way out of the headlock, but it was a pointless endeavor. She *knew* that Alec wasn't going to be mad at her for stabbing him, but that didn't mean that it wouldn't influence how he felt about her. Just because he wasn't mad at her didn't mean that he would be ok with getting involved with someone who stabbed him. They eventually arrived next to Alec and she tried to look up at him from the headlock.

"Uhm... hi?"
