“You gonna be okay Jim?” Clair asked as she leaned against a wall admiring her new rifle.

“Yeah. I won’t lie though it hurts a lot.” Jim limped towards a small pile of items at the end of the corridor he was in.

“Really? Cause you do seem to be handling it well. I’ll admit, I’m kind of impressed.”

“That means a lot to me kiddo.”

“Yeah and that’s good cause other-wise I’d have to shoot ya.”

“What?”

“Shut up Uriel…”

“Who the hell is Uriel?”

“Oh she’s me. So is Amy!”

“Well I don’t like Uriel…” Ugly Jim said as he picked up a small package labeled C4.

“Well that’s good. Cause she apparently feels the same.”

“You guys wait here! I’m going to go heal Jim real quick.” Ali said as she dashed away, health kit in hand, without a second glance.

Damon shook his head as he climbed atop a nearby car. Pretty ugly shade of blue. He’d always hated this car when his friend had driven it. He was half tempted to look for the keys but knew that Tony never left his keys anywhere but his pocket. Searching for the keys wouldn’t be worth the time but maybe if the Herbert plan didn’t pan out they could look for a car?

“Hey Damon, you look like you’re thinking pretty hard about something. You know this car?”

“Sorta. It looks like Tony’s. Right down to the being Tony’s car.”

“Oh! Maybe it has the-“

“No. Tony ALWAYS had his keys on him.”

“Couldn’t hurt to look.”

“And trigger an alarm? No thanks. But we could always come back here if Herbert doesn’t keep his end of the bargain.”

“Why wouldn’t he? He seemed like he needed help.” Mark pointed out.

“Well the thing is that he could be dead. Or zombified. Or maybe he’s just an asshole who’ll take our guns.”

“How?”

“By force!” Damon was annoyed that Mark refused to see logic.

“Oh yeah. Herbert’ll be able to take us all on. Have you SEEN Ugly Jim? Dude could toss you over six feet. Plus we have Jeffrey, hell I’d be willing to bet that Clair would eat his throat out if he tried anything.”

“He might have a gun. The great equalizer.”

“We’d have six. Face it Damon, you’re just complaining to do it.”

Damon felt an embarrassed blush rush to his face. Turning around to search out his team-mates he replied “Well you’re dumb and your face is dumb.”

Y'know, the very existence of flamethrowers proves that at some point in history somebody said "You know... I want to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

So logically the scope will be useful for.... Admiring architecture? I don't know but if all of you die and he's the last one left... Maybe he'll use it for seeing threats at far range. *Shrug*
