Jeffrey watched in slow motion as Mark through a small jar he had. Whatever was in it didn’t particularly interest him at this moment as he was too busy trying to drag Damon away from the clawing horde of infected that refused to let go. At first.

For some reason a small group broke off and began fighting amongst itself. But Jeffrey didn’t have time to contemplate this when he saw Mark go down fighting. Too far away to do anything Jeffrey simply unloaded his firearm into the dwindling mobs of infected. Some seemed to be covered in Boomer Bile although Jeffrey couldn’t honestly attest to where from. He just knew that the infected seemed less single minded about ripping him apart and even Mark was calling out that he wasn’t being hit anymore.

“Get down Jeff!” Melody shouted raising her Shotgun.

Knowing from some limited experience that getting hit with one of those would likely end him he ducked down as a gunshot, much smaller than expected, rang out.

“AGH!!!” Melody cried out in pain as she followed the example of most of the team and fell to the ground whimpering.

‘Damon!’ Jeffrey thought as he turned towards the traitorous team-mate to find him… Cradling his arm in pain. It was then that Jeffrey saw the wide-eyed look of terror on Jim’s face.

“Melody! Are you okay!?”

“No you fucker! You shot me! AGAIN!” Melody cried out in pain.

The look of hurt on Jim’s face made his sorrow palpable. His emotional pain was quickly joined by physical as the free-for-all of Common Infected started to stomp on him.

‘No!’ Jeffrey thought before he felt several claws tear into his own back.

Whipping around however he only saw infected fighting eachother having lost all interest in the survivors. Looking down all he saw was dried vomit. Perhaps it didn’t attract them if it was dried? Never-the-less with only four standing members Jeffrey knew he needed to take out this horde before seeing to the injured. He quickly aimed his fire-arm. This was almost over.
