Ah. I'm guessing the Key opened a bridge to somewhere other than the desired destination. One of the Limits that I placed on the key was that if a user attempted to use it without a sufficent mind score (about 40) then it would need a MIND DC 60 check else it connected to a random location.

Luthar has the mind to control the key. As does Will, Yomiko and anyone else with a mind of 40 up.
