Before Tsuchi can leap over the edge to divekick at Golden, Meta clamps his good arm around his mouth, and uses his legs to lock Tsuchi's legs in place.

Meta's grip is too strong for Tsuchi to overcome. Even his jaws are shut too tight to bite at Meta's hand. The blood flowing out of his neck finally slows, as his skin goes absolutely pale. His eyes close, and Meta drops him off the platform.
A wisp of blue smoke passes through Tsuchi's lips, and is absorbed into Meta's chest. Pick one stat to increase.
Golden just clings to the cables, and watches Tsuchi's body fall past.

Climb down the chain to GWG.  Help him climb back up to the platform.

Meta fails to reach the cable Golden is on. However, it is within jumping range, and he can see Golden starting to slide down.

Golden looses his grip on the cable, and slides down. Really fast. The arena slides out of view, although Meta does not, as he has grabbed the cable with his legs and is sliding down after Golden.
Golden lands first, closely followed (but no longer surounded by) the swarm of bees. There are far less of them now, too, as many have expended themselves on him.
Meta lands second, and takes in some details Golden missed, such as there being another suspended platform at the bottom of the cable, another platform nearby, and some more distantly visible.

And yes, just like in the old game, if you aren't in active combat, your pool completely refills after each turn.
