I just wonder why none of our vehicle engineers actually build any rockets. I mean, we got the parts, we need the rockets, and the current designs are clearly not working.

I'd really like a quote on that. Because well, astronauts aren't designing them, and systems engineers aren't either. And it would be very strange if KSP hired people to design cars, but not rockets.

Rockets are vehicles. A weapon of four solid fuel boosters strapped together does not count as a vehicle.
