I'm American as well so I can't imagine them being anything other than baked beans. Which makes it even stranger that people should enjoy it mixing with their breakfast foods.

I ain't a Yank- and aren't baked beans more popular in Britain (almost said England there before remembering preset company, hehe) and Australia than the US anyway?

It's the large dark and light brown circular hunk of matter touching the beans. It's balancing on a fried square of potato (the potato scone to those in the know), to the left of the square sausage.

I looked it up on Wikipedia and it's actually a mountainous creature. My bad. Same principle, it seems; close enough.

As a reply to the OP, I also eat cereals without milk and I never considered it strange.
