I actually prefer some cereals soggy namely Raisin Bran, Honey Bunches of oats, pretty much all the flake type cereals really.

This.  I had no idea I was in such a minority group: those who don't really care about cereal being soggy.  It certainly isn't worth the trouble of keeping the cereal and milk separate until it's in my mouth.

Then again, I'm pretty weird about cereal.  I usually pour my leftover milk into my morning coffee to flavor it some.  If the odd flake ends up in the coffee I don't care.

I eat cereal out of cups all the time. Just pour some in, splash in some milk, and chow down.

The trick, everyone, and no need to thank me, is to use smaller bowls. There, no soggy cereal and no awkward mechanics to avoid the sogginess such as the stated one. BAM

If you are eating a cereal with a suitably high angle of repose, you can just eat half the cereal, leaving a sort of cliff-face - to a pit from where you gulp the milk with a small rock-slide of cereal every mouthful.

Confirmed to work with Rice Krispies (and derivatives thereof) and Cheerios, at least.

I tried those new Kellogg's Krave cereal today, it has chocolate in it, but it doesn't make the milk chocolatety because of the outer layer. It's strange, but awesome.

Every morning of every day, I use a grinder to reduce Reeses Puffs Cereal to a fine, incredibly dry powder. Once my mouth is coated in a thick, moisture-blocking paste, I drink water mixed with a nutrient broth that is otherwise so terribly bitter that my stomach empties on the spot if it so much as touches one of my taste-buds. I then scrape the cereal out of my mouth using a special brush, and follow it all with a swig of pickle juice to ensure that my throat does not accumulate any of its taste to catch me by surprise later in the day.

I know, I know. Candy? For breakfast? No, it's Reeses Puffs Cereal!

My existence is regulated by its chocolatey peanut buttery protective film! I am nothing without Reeses Puffs Cereal! I spend entirely too much on cereal to justify this way of life, but I can't ever stop, or my stomach will begin eating itself.
