By make a team does it mean I run three characters, or that you run the two NPC teammates for me?

I envisaged your horse trying to do everything by itself... Do you want teammates?

So basically I'd be Sir Becaphulus the Equine Squire?

Yes.  A horse doing three jobs.  If you'd like to control three seperate chars, that's cool too.

Do automatic actions take a point? If so, when can we expect to get additional points for additional actions?

No, automatic actions do not consume AP.  They serve to keep the structure of the joust working.

You get AP for submitted actions at the beginning of each play period, and continue to get more in the jousting period until the joust ends.

Getting more than one AP for a turn is something that might come up once the first tourney is finished.  Maybe.

<PU-PUPU-PUUUUUU!>

Gather round, gather round!
The draw is about to commence!

Our brave teams have been allotted the following numbers...
The Shadowknights - 1,2
House Tinklebottom - 3,4
Team Braggadocio - 5,6
Team Uhh! - 7,8
Team Equine - 9,10

Aaand to roll the Baron de la Filly's dice today,
Let's welcome the ever beautiful Lady Of The Joust,
Lady Gruntesque!

<<She trots onto the wooden podium and curtsies the assembled crowd, who begin to jeer>>

Shoot them!

<<Archers in the gods open fire on the commoners with dung tipped arrows, the jeers turn to retching cries for mercy>>

Right!  My Lady, if you please, roll the Lord's die...

<<A hush decends as they listen for the rattle in the tumbler, Gruntesque releases a trotter from the end and the die goes flying...>>

2 - The Shadowknights!  Versus...
4 - House Tinklebottom!

The audience goes wild with anticipation of a classic Good vs. Evil matchup in round one.

4..8 - Team Uhh!!  Versus...
3..2..9 - Team Equine!

Tenebra shall scout the tourney grounds. May my knowledge of the ground somehow help me.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

The Shadowknights, House Tinklebottom, Team Uhh! and Team Equine, please submit your pre-joust Actions.

This first (and possibly second) joust I'll lay things out clearly.

The pre-joust occurs on the morning before the joust.

In the Pre-Joust period...
Knights automatically Warm Up - Success means a +1 to Lancery during the joust.
Squires automatically Attach Armour - Success means the Knight wears armour, failure means some penalty to Shieldery during the joust.
Steeds automatically Eat - Success means a +1 to Stamina during the joust.

Your submitted Actions could be anything.  Go drinking.  Punch a horse.  Steal lances.  I don't know.  NPCs will react reasonably though.  If you try to steal something and fail, you should expect to be hogtied for the rest of the day.  Any negative effects - except injuries and loss/damage of items - accrued will be wiped clean at the start of the next day.  Just like The Simpsons.

Remember, you have but one Action Point.  A sentence like, "Go to the tavern and drink lots and strip and run through the streets and moon the opponents horse" shall be interpreted as "Go drinking".

You have 24 hours to submit Actions, after which anyone can submit an Action for your character.  (The first suggestion after 24h will be accepted.)

Once all Actions have been received, the game shall progress.

Team Equine may only submit one Action, but Bucephalus will attempt all automatic Actions.

I'm considering an automatic penalty for that link...    :o

Hold your horses... have to get shop data up... which won't happen for a while yet.  Sorry, want to see how basic equipment works out.  Which I'll update now a little bit.  Please make another Action.

Discuss things with the other nobles, and try to get into good graces/mooch some armor off them.
