I'm trying to convince him into not launching attacks on me. Since as it was it would be a war that resulted in a lot of loss on all sides. So I'm pretty much just trying to coerce him into doing nothing.
If this works I will crown myself god of bullshitting.

Why? You have more and better military (and your manpower isn't depleted as much) on top of having more to gain from winning this war. I don't have the 20k of military to send you any, but tell me if you need a Mgbbbl or 2 of oil.
No, I'd still win. Just to convince him into not launching attacks on me.

So, I hit WWII surplus and I'm wondering, how many rifles do I have to buy to reach Korean War Surplus? Is dropping 2.5M on a military-industrial complex worth it?

Whelp, that guy I was attacking put up more of a fight than I had expected. Anyone have troops to spare while he burns himself out conscripting his entire nation?

I'll send some over, since I'm waiting for the rollover to find someone new to attack.
Thanks.

His manpower is halved and if he continues to try to get rid of his growth just to have a poorly trained army, he'll get ruined by your troops anyways. In situations like this, most people just give up and let you win rather then fuck up their manpower and growth.

It takes 60 home-made rifles to go from WW2 surplus to Korean War surplus. There isn't an exact number for non-home made rifles, but it's estimated around 160. It's very much worth it to get five factories ASAP, as they're vital once you want to progress beyond Korean War surplus.

So uh, accidentally hit war on the wrong tab. Cue me warring with someone 150% my GDP and having a massive growth, but small army. I'm about to get fucked I think. Oh also they are in Mainsail Initiative. They are also one o' them western types, so I don't feel too bad, but I'm probably going to get screwed. At least I can go east and beg for stuff.

Send a message to him explaining the situation, and if you damaged any of his growth/army then pay reparations. If not just request a white peace.

I already smacked them pretty bad before I realized that it was the wrong nation. Did airstrikes and invaded, then realized afterwards. Since they only have like 3 nations in Africa, and the one I attacked is the highest GDP, I think I'll probably just stick it out for better or worse.

edit: I mean best case scenerio I get away and end this with like 1200 GDP.

edit2: Unless you are ordering me Bdthemag, in which case I shall comply swiftly. Though I will probably need help paying him $$$, but I can refund him the 15k or so troops he lost.

Well, wait for a reply from him after you explain the situation, and ask him if he wants any reparations.

I explained the situation, and asked that if he feels like continuing the war that he not start an alliance war because of my blunder and keep it between our two nations. I also said that if he wants peace, I can try to pay any reparations he wants. I'll give him until 1:50 game time tomorrow afternoon to reply (so roughly 17.5 hours)... if he doesn't reply by then, and he hasn't changed his troop numbers (and thus is inactive) I'll just finish the invasion off unless you have issues with that. He seems active though, so I should hopefully get a reply. I might have to praise the USA to switch over and give him troops if he asks for them, but since I am Mad Dog now (shame too, my original target was Pariah so I would have gained reputation) I would quickly fall out of line with them.

edit: Looking at his stats intensely, I really only see 3 possible scenarios. I mean the guy is pretty built: http://bloc.name/stats.php?id=552
1) He agrees to peace and wants troops, so I switch to Capitalist and give them to him.
2) He agrees to peace and wants reparations that I cannot possibly pay, seeing as how he is built and anything that is going to really matter to the growth of his nation is going to cost a lot.
3) He lulz at my small military compared to his large potential one, and destroys me, in which case I wholeheartedly would approve of you ejecting me from the alliance forcefully to save your skins.

I mean you could kick me out now, O Supreme Leader, seeing as how I did sort of break a rule, and technically would be breaking possibly 1 or 2 more if we have peace.

I really doubt he'll just decide to attack you. Since he has a high GDP, it'll be a mild inconvenience at most.

Okay, I can use a little help in my own war here. Anything is appreciated in terms of assistance; Oil, money, troops. If it's good to fight with, I can use it (Oil and cash primarily to regain air superiority though.)

You guys really need to chill with the accidentally attacking nations you can't handle. Don't ever forget that soldiers = 2(growth). Just be at peace if you can't find a safe target.

Same here.
On the bright side it means that he is screwed in both the long and short term; so can't retaliate effectively in the future.
