I apologize for the lack of updates. I've been working on Grace's portrait (I need to make changes, but I need to go right away) and I have all of Heath's sprites, and one of Alexia's. It's been a weird few days for me, so please bear with me. If push comes to shove I'll make WIP portraits and just front sprites (I'll still make the others, but it's just to get things going). I'll have time on the weekend during the evening, so hopefully I can get the last of the portraits done. Sprite work is difficult, but quick enough once you get going.

Here's a quick update. I finished Grace's portrait. There was a fur effect on the middle of the coat, but I stopped once I was far enough down that it didn't matter for the portrait. To keep going would have been a waste of everyone's time.

Here's what I have for sprites so far. Keep in mind that I'll be adding more detailed shading to the in-game portrait, but it's roughly what will be used as far as the portrait is concerned. If you don't like your sprite, let me know what about it you don't like and I'll change it.

As soon as we have the portraits done, I'll launch the In-Character thread. We'll use the portraits while talking. As for combat, if the sprites somehow aren't finished between the launch of the thread and the first battle, I'll just use a temporary TokenTool pog of the un-sprited characters' portraits until the sprites are done.

Alright, so I did Elizalotte's portrait. The face and hair details are roughly what will be in the final portrait, and on her sprite she'll have a black bicorne around her neck.

Doesn't take too long to do the detailing, so I should have most, if not all current portraits done by tomorrow night. Which means all that's left is GWG's portrait.

Also, GreatWormGold, you never said what your character was wearing, just that it was green. I can improvise a quarter-gear shaped hairstyle, but I can't draw what isn't described. If you can't get me something by tomorrow I'll put him in a tight green coverall with a tool/gunbelt since it's what a mechanic would logically be wearing.

Very neat, first time opening maptools for myself. Took a bit of tinkering, but I managed to look at the stuff, interesting. I've not played FFT, so if I ever get in the game bear with me a bit.

Weird, I thought Alexandria was the berserker when I wrote that. I guess ninja siren then.

Which conjured up an image of a sneaky guy in black going "WEEOOWEEOOWEEOO!" whilst sneaking.

Table Construct is going to be an interesting skill once you guys have a dedicated mage. I keep thinking of someone wearing Summoner's robes, laughing maniacally and raining destruction on the landscape around them, carried about by a little stone pedestal with a cog for feet and a pair of googly eyes.

Also, I found myself a really cool website with all of the sprites from FFT (including alternate colour pallettes!), so putting generic-type enemies into the game is gonna be super easy. For unique enemies, I'll probably just jump on over to the Final Fantasy Hacktics forum and steal borrow non-copyrighted sprites from those guys. I may even ask them for permission to do it! But maybe not, can't have you guys searching for my name on their forum to sniff out spoilers

Any chance of also making scaled-down portraits so we can use them for talking in the in-character thread without making each of the posts a page long? 
(I'll hold off on launching the IC thread until I either get an answer or wake up tomorrow morning, but it's all typed up and ready to go)
