alright so:

-we probably need noble gases to make an ion cannon (go suck some up now)
-silicates will be needed later when we're building automatic things, so leave them be for a moment
-methane is evil and needs to be destroyed
-to destroy methane, we need an ion cannon, and we're not going to mine minerals which aren't exploded -> land on the ice giant and build a planet-based ion cannon from what we have there

i think we have a good compromise here

"First Initiative Support Transporter in its most pristine form does not have any foraging equipment nor does it support transport of noble gases."
// Doesn't mean you can't make it work that way, tho.

"No mining robot design available in the database. Please go to the manufactory to create a new one."

// You better discuss that together.

// Pretty varied opinions here. This isn't an evolution game, we can't do multiple things at once (not yet, or not with that kind of setup). A long term e - you can actually detach the (active) intelligence cores from the C.O.R.E. body and attach them anywhere else, mechs and spaceships included. If you want to, of course.

. . .

DETACH EVERY CORE THAT ISN'T ME no that'd be stupid we don't even have a senate to overthrow

/land on Semicour 1 or 2. Set up energy generators, bot factory, and design a mining bot.

land on both the one which is more mineral-rich according to our scans

"Scans show that Semicour 2 is richer in usable minerals than Semicour 1, but it also has higher gravitational pull than the other satellite." // (about 3 times as high, but both are still relatively low values)

//my, this does look interesting. mind if I join?

/Manufacture robot miners to mine Semicolour 2. manufacture transports to transfer mined resources to wherever they might be needed.

// Not at all. Welcome on board, core Krevsin.

Spoiler: F.U.E.L. (click to show/hide)

// The factory bay is on the left, the "deck" is on the right and the refinery (as well as generators, for that matter) are on top. The rover arm (I'm assuming it's that kind of arm used to pick stuff up :|) can reach both the factory bay and refinery. Not 100% accurate design, but cut me some slack, we aren't playing KSP here. (well, we technically are if you think about it.)
