The available games are those on the list, so far. We've had a few very generous people volunteer to give any game under a specific value, but that's the exception. That's a kickass idea you had though, so if you want any game that *is* on the list, just ask!



In other news, I volunteered at a blood drive at my university. It was so much fun! Lots of really cool people, and it made me realise that people are better than I think. There were lots of walk-ins as well as scheduled appointments... made me all warm and fuzzy!

But one thing made me really angry: turns out anyone who's had gay sex has a lifetime ban on donating blood. I'm going to push for us to send a formal letter complaining about this, since it's become unscientific, biased and idiotic (though justified at the time it was introduced. Read here for more).

There's a site called Banned4Life which allows you to do just that! I highly encourage everyone to read through what they have to say and participate if they agree.

People have been fighting that law for a long time. I remember signing petitions back in university (10 years ago). Clearly it made a huge difference.

I can't believe it. Stupid law made out of ignorance or assumptions. Medicine, save the day, because this Med student already understands the complete stupidity of that law and shakes her head at the idiots who implemented it. Guess how biological functions work was too complex for those politicians to think about.

Hey, I want to participate, but I don't know if my idea of kindness is trivial...

A girl friend of mine will be travelling soon to Germany and stay there for a month, and I would like to engrave something and give it to her. I know she likes rabbits, so it's going to be about that. I'm at the initial stages of the drawing, maybe it would be a good idea to post it here.

(The game in question would be Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War, Steam-flavored. I would ask for more, but I would like to be a 'repeated offender' here, so let's see how it goes)
