I've half 'paid' my good deed in advance - doing computer technical support for my elderly neighbor. I can only manage half an hour at a time before I start falling over. Should be able to get it finished tomorrow. ^ ^;

Spent 40 minutes more yesterday cursing Microsoft, BT Internet and McAfee antivirus software. Hopefully will have it working after today's session.

Not a very big deal of "make something good", but I have adopted a homeless cat recently. She had an illness (rhinotracheitis and kaltsiviroza, both viral and in a bad state) so we went to veterinarian and spent some money (about 40$) to cure her. Now she is quite healthy.

Will this do for a Frozen Synapse (Steam), please?

I'm afraid kingfisher1112, who had volunteered to offer Frozen Synapse, was banned from the forums, so I don't really know how to contact him You could pick something else if you'd like?

Today's session cancelled due to ill health.

Magical Diary was fun, but far too short. I can't really recommend it. :/ Oh well, not every one can be a winner.

[EDIT] Today spent 35 minutes more computering. Progress is actually being made! ... but I still need to go back tomorrow again.

Another day, another 45 minutes spent trying to get McAfee to run on my neighbor's computer. At this point I thought 'screw this' and gave her a spare copy of the anti-virus software I bought for my own computer instead.

I told her to donate my payment to the church or a charity of her choice.

I'll be going back again at some point, as it would probably be sensible to get SP 1 installed on her computer even if it does seem to be incredibly tricky to do so. :/

I could have used AVG, but it _has_ missed stuff in the past on my computer. The only reason I was trying to use McAfee in the first place is that she had paid for that with her internet subscription. I hate McAffee. It's a real resource hog and I've known it to cause problems with other programs.

Microsoft security essentials. I use that, it is pretty good, but run malwarebytes from time to time too.

I got the paid-for version of malwarebytes. It found some 'conduit' related files that nothing had picked up before. Have you come across conduit, btw? It's a right bastard to get rid of entirely.

I use HitmanPro to deal with stuff like that. Yeah, it's like using a nuke on a cloud of flies, but it works.
