My my, that Hardcore world of tanks sounds great... To the GYWE thread!
And crossover with similarly hardcore airplanes from War Thunder...  :o

Hardcore Deus Ex HR
You aren't augmented, Enemies don't have useless banter that give away their position. Oh, and your coat doesn't look as good anymore.

Would it even be a Deus Ex game after that? No upgrades, no hint-based-stealth.
And making the coat not as good looking is probably a war crime.

I'll say that rather than not being augmented, you are crappily augmented. Your robotic parts either operate under windows 69 or are made by apple. I don't know which one is worse.

And of course, no more regenerating health nonsense, or even healthpacks. Nooooo. You have to fix yourself using proper mechanics.

Ha ha ha! You think too small, comrade. The correct answer is both. And compatibility hasn't improved over the years.

Hardcore World of Tanks:

It takes several people to pilot a tank. There's a driver and gunner at least, maybe even jobs for the other positions on the tank. There's no alert for enemy tanks, the crew has to identify all enemies visually, with the commander spotting and giving orders and the radio crew relaying information through to the other tanks. There's no auto-aim, the gunner has to use the sights and, probably, an identification guide to shoot the enemy accurately.
Panzer Elite: The MMO ? Whoever bring up that action s*#t that came afterwards will be hanged on char array.

Cashuel: OMG ALL TEH CASHUL NEUBS! TER FILTHY CASHEUELS! DEY SUX SO HARDZORS

Hardcore: ALL GOOD GAMES IS TEH HARDCORE. HARDCOR = GOOWD

Sorry. I think people are using "casual" interchangeably with "mainstream," when casual games are just games like Bejeweled and PvZ. And yet casual games like Angry Birds or Tetris can still be ludicrously difficult...

People are making strawmen casual/hardcore games for humor, nothing more...

Hardcore Mario Kart (N64):

'Z' is the clutch, the analog stick is the gearshift, 'A' is gas, 'B' is brake, L1/R1 adjust the side mirrors, the control pad adjusts the rear view mirror (left/right) and the turn signals (up/down), and start is the parking brake.

If a game ever did have the analog stick be a gearshift, that would be QWOP levels of hilarity.

Sort of there are two definitions of a casual game

1) A game that can be casually played and isn't meant to be a challenge.
and
2) A game that appeals to the casual gamers.

I like to define a casual gamer as any person who plays videogames but is otherwise unaware of the medium.

I for example am a Casual Book reader, I know the popular books but I wouldn't know many lesser known authors or series.

Heh, forgot about that part. Not really that important though. I guess remove the ability to adjust the side mirrors, and give the casuals 'steering'.
