Ursa nodded in approval. Being able to converse with his adoptive mother and brother in their own language would have been remarkably handy. He could only wonder what sort of stories she might have told...

: "Except Ursa not really a bear. But Princess' name is good. Mother must have been wise. Mothers often are."

"And I'm not a Goddess, either."

"Just a princess... with a lot to do."

Diana sighed.

"I wish I'd gotten to know my mother. Everyone always said I took more after my father than her, so I can't even look in the mirror and try to picture what she looked like. I only know I have the same color eyes."

"If you don't mind my asking, can we talk more about you later? I'm curious about what it's like to grow up in the wild. And you can ask things of me too, of course!"

The last sentence was a bit hastily added; she didn't want to just badger him with questions without giving anything in return.

All the talk of mothers made Ursa grow quiet. Not for the first time, he thought back as far as his memories could go, trying to remember a face, a voice...anything, really. And once again, nothing. He almost missed Diana's final question/comment.

: "..."

: "Hmm? Yes, Ursa would be fine with that. Whenever Princess has question, just ask."

"OK. And that goes for you too, of course."

Diana glanced at the nearby mage.

"I suppose that WILL have to wait until we're out of here..."

She sighed and drew her sword, ready to rush the enemy as soon as he got close.

Ursa nodded, raised his weapon, and growled at the oncoming enemy. The man had no weapon Ursa could see, but he certainly didn't look like he intended to surrender...

Jago dodged to the side of a lance sweep.
:"Shit!"
And another.
:"Whoa!"
And then one of their allies fell... one of the experienced ones.
:"Oh fuck!"
Jago cursed as he ran along to a good vantage point and got a vengeance shot off at one of his attackers.
Move to 33,16 pew pewinate JGA.

Seeing an archer come a bit too close, Brann charged forward. Stumbling to a stop, he did his best to hit the man anyways.

Brann moves to 12-36, attacks Archer A

"I cannot miss this shot. This is the least I could do for Wedge."

"This is all going to hell..." muttered Rodan, as Wedge fell. Maybe they should've just stayed in their cells after all.

Rodan moves to (35,15) and attacks JGA.

: "No, no, no!" Ceil immediately rushed toward the downed horseman, but to no avail. She could tell by just a glance that he was already beyond help. Resigned to just a sigh and a prayer, she crouched down and closed his eyes.
Ceil to 38,13.
