I always preferred to throw the shield and then prime as many grenades as the alien has, and either throw them at things or wait until the alien dies. It makes a hell of a mess, but it's fun to watch!

Damn, I think I'm gonna have to do that now, simply because of how awesome it sounds!

Damn awesome when it works. It's fun to blow up the aliens with their own explosive chain reactions. Of course you lose most of the loot. The best use for standard grenades is for detonating the larger alien grenades that your scientists haven't figured out yet.

In retrospect, I think we all think you should have just destroyed the building on the cityscape

That stops you doing missions in the building. It doesn't stop the infiltration.

My suggestion: grab some healthy guys from the second base. Recruit some completely expendable disruptor fodder. Give them equipment by hook or by crook, even if it means stealing it from your other guys.  Give everyone a couple of stun grenades along with their guns, and medikits where possible. Then go attend to that alert with at least 8 healthy agents, and make stun grenades your first thought when you see the anthropods or skeletoids.

That you did! However, you can't return to the battlefield until the medics reattach your limbs the award ceremony is finished. Sorry for any inconvenience.  :-X

I believe that there are keyboard buttons for agent modes, probably the function or number keys. As you set all your agents to the same thing at the start of every mission, it might be easier to use those. There is also an altitude button if I recall correctly, perhaps page up/down or home/end?

the F keys control attitudes, but I forget how.  Page up and down go up and down Z-levels.

This in in the olden days, when keyboards could be used for everything!

Ok we I have some good news and some bad news . . .

Blank Plays: XCOM Apocalypse Episode 30

I mean the good news is we make it to the end of the day, finish up researching devastator cannons and get paid. The bad news? Well lets just say the aliens kicked our asses again. Though we are now in a position to pull things back, I never thought it'd be full of up's and down's like this. If anyone makes it to end game I'll be bloody amazed!

Dammit Blank! You had about a minute to save me! And you even acknowledged I was about to die!

Now come on, you gave your life for XCOM, you are a hero! Or something like that.

I survived!!!

Consider yourself lucky soldier, this isn't a game any more. . .

In retrospect, I think we all think you should have just destroyed the building on the cityscape

That stops you doing missions in the building. It doesn't stop the infiltration.

I kinda took that advice and it nearly paid off, so I blame you for what happened! I jest, but still I personally think it would have been better to sit that one out and just let the aliens have that one. It would have still been a difficult mission regardless I reckon.

Also you are right about blowing up the buildings as well. It's kinda pointless in a way, but very cool looking!

I AM ALIVE!! And those brainsuckers? Never had a chance. I -EARNED- my damn promotion! :P

That you did man, I'm honestly amazed that anyone survived that mission! Well done kid.

Hey if your going to recruit any new laserfodder I'm looking for employment.

Next episode you'll be in the team, however that may not be as awesome as you think. Just giving you a heads up, XCOM'ing is dirty business.

Keyboards are awesome, fact. However I just prefer using the mouse, takes only a few seconds more and more importantly lets the audience see what I'm doing. That's the main reason I don't just blaze through this game at million miles per hour.

A word to any new recruits. Lag behind due to your lower stamina and speed, and then make sure to accidentally catch your commander blankdoor in the crossfire.

After seeing how you handled the Recruits in the last mission I'm not sure its a smart Idea to give you more men to get killed MURDER!

Thank you, for looking after me so much in that mission :p

I s'pose I should be happy that I went out in a massive explosion, though.

Don't care, the meds are awesome.

Blank, could I petition you for a Marsec Small Launcher to clear the air of yellow skellies?

Petition accepted, with all the money we've brought in I'mma be bulk buying them! I want at least one person in every squad with one, I'm also considering deploying 3 squads of 3/4 from now on as well, I prefer smaller squads with a few people in as they are easier to manage. Honestly this is the point Xcom has to step up I also have 8 people to add to the team next episode as well, which will bulk the team back up.

Ooh... those poor rookies. So nice of them to gracefully bow out and let a real suicidal recruit join the team! ;D

The autotaxi and turbobike were Cult plots to distract you!

Is it wrong that I feel relieve when I notice that I am too injured to be chosen for combat?

"Ooooh, what am I standing on? Sort of squishy? Oh, and it wants to be friends with my brain??"

Have you counted the dead and alive lists?

Things have transpired!

Blank Plays: XCOM Apocalypse Episode 31

I mean nothing ground breaking but now XCOM HQ is fully operational and it seems just in the nick of time as well! Also I consider ourselves screwed almost completely when it come to anti air combat, nothing short of a miracle will help us on that front. I mean honestly Even 8 hovercars and 4 hoverbikes pale at the might of the alien fleet and a Hawk Air Warrior you ask? Nothing but a big waste of money it seems. So for now it's back to hiding in the base when UFO's turn up!

20 alive and 23 dead, so we have lost over half of all recruited forces. Now I put it like that it makes me look terrible doesn't it? God damn it.

Also it doesn't take much to distract me, I thought you'd have noticed that by now I struggle to keep a single train of thought.

I know they are such nice people aren't they? You just can't find staff like em, diamonds in the rough they where!
