((Other than that. It probably is not going to happen this update, even if you role a six.

Also, if i have missed any questions or anyone has any more before I make the update, post them with the actions you want to do.

My internet is still on the fritz, by the way.))

BTW Khan if your wondering we have agreed to getting a meeting together with our Brood leaders, w.e morey like us enough to show up, and strategize on how to get vanguard prisoners {do we stalk random patrols, look for original vanguard bases, or check our old HQ/Dockyards} and what camp we can put them in for interrogations. If needed we could build a new one just for prisoners so the rest aren't compromised. Check for how much the Morey regulars/special forces want to pitch in to our plans and/or if they just really wish we were dead.

Psyonics training on our lonesome. Make sure no one see's us since we don't want to be looked at weirdly or get attention.

An for Armok's sake check into his grey goo stuff.

do vanguard patrols have locators? if so remove them.

once we have them, we shall use them for vehicle opening, information, and hostages.
If we can communicate with superiors, ask for scientists, so as to be able to create loyalty probes to turn any captured elite vanguard (Please tell me it is possible to capture ASOG Warbreed)

((Thanks for the info. Keep adding detail, as in what exactly do you want to talk to the brood leaders and other military leaders in the guerrilla fighters about (apart from vanguard bases, patrols etc).

The more detail the better.

Once that is done, I'll put out an update first thing tomorrow.

Because at the moment, some things are a bit vague and i dont feel as if i can produce a decent update without the detail.))

Ask them what they think should be done about Brigandier Xander of the Vanguards.

More importantly how we can take control of this planet away from the Vanguard and info on what we can do to crack the codes to those liberated vangaurd vehicles we have.

((Micro-update to answer questions i missed))

BTW, did the transformation affect our lifespan, for if not, five wasted years is a problem

The transformation gave you lifespans that are similar to those of the Morey. After all, super soldiers that die after a short period of time (to the Morey) would be useless.

Any progress on getting the nanotech to become more generalized or controllable?

The Nanotech has 'networked' between each other as well as with their hosts brains. Unfortunately, no further physical benefits have manifested other than better reflexes and coordination, however you have experienced better mental capabilities. Your memory has improved drastically and you have become far better at doing your specialist tasks.

In short, your cognitive abilities are heightened.

However what's our English sound to the vanguard? Good/Bad broken what?

Sorry I doubted you funk :(

You have practiced your english to perfection over the last galactic year. You speak it as fluently as you did before.

Don't Vanguard use Telepathy for communication?

Only a few of their troops, usually only the WARLORD Corps, of which the ASOG WarBreed are a part.

((Thank you for your patience.

Sorry the update is taking so long.

Been busy recently.

I have tried to keep you guys interested through minor updates.

Mega-update first thing tomorrow morning though.

Again, sorry.))

I would prioritise not being detected over detecting the enemy, but they are both supportive of one another, so yes...

((Sorry its late. You got a nice run of Critical Successes in this update.))

Call a "Commanders meeting with our Brood and the Morey regulars"

"I'll make it simple we need to find where the Vanguard are hiding and do something about their pretty little base."

"I believe we need to start locking down on capturing live prisoners to get this goal and bringing them back to temporary camps for interrogations."

Ask them what they think should be done about Brigandier Xander of the Vanguards.

More importantly how we can take control of this planet away from the Vanguard and info on what we can do to crack the codes to those liberated vangaurd vehicles we have.

You call a commanders meeting of the Brood leaders and the Morey Regolar and Commando troops. Ari, Ankara and Elianna come, as you would expect, but so did the three Morey commanders present in the camp.

The two Slinkar commanders in the camp refused to come, however. You did expect that as the Slinkar have been at best unfriendly towards the Vat-Born. The Morey have been indifferent usually. Some like you and the Commanders seem to admire you a bit, which is nice.

“I called this meeting as we need to get detailed information on the Vanguard locations. We need to know their patrol patterns thoroughly and we need to know the weaknesses in their defences.”

You pause for a moment.

“However, the most important thing we have to do is to capture some Vanguard troops. They will help us gather intel and they will also help us crack the security on the Vanguard machinery we captured.”

“Capture Vanguard?” One Morey Commander you know as Dornishi says “How? We have little chance against their regulars and taking down their elite troops requires far heavier firepower than we have, especially due to the blockade.”

“Dornishi is right, we are in a precarious position. Our supplies are running low. We are almost out of food and water purification tablets are now rare at best. Much of our womanpower is dedicated to gathering food and trying to fetch fresh water” States another Morey Commander, the head of the Commandos in the camp, who you know as Tirl-kha.

Your sisters say nothing, knowing you have a plan.

“Your concerns are valid, however my plan is simple. We target their orbital troopers. Most of the first wave of Vanguard invasion troops are still present on the planet. We could easily capture a patrol or two of them or a base or something and make them talk. We could also see if they have any fancy Vanguard tech that could help with our supply problems.”

You pause.

“What do you think?” You ask.

Your sisters nod their heads. Elianna seems particularly enthusiastic about playing with the Vanguard.

The Morey commander who didn’t speak, Quish-ka, shakes her head, looking unconvinced. Tirl-kha, on the other hand, looks as enthusiastic as Elianna. She is almost jumping up and down in excitement at been able to play cat and mouse with the Vanguard orbital troops. Dornishi was more reserved, but nodded her agreement that the plan sounds decent.

“Well, that’s settled then. Now, onto other matters. What do we do about Brigadier Xander Berginstaff?  Our latest intel seems to suggest he has been put in charge of four brigades of five thousand troops with another four brigades in reserve. That’s not including support brigades, of which we think is a mixture of light, medium and heavy armour, assault troops, aircraft, engineering units and even a platoon of 35 ASOG WarBreed. And he has been assigned the duty of hunting down and destroying the resistance on this planet.”

“He is too well guarded to be assassinated” Ankara says. “The headquarters of the ‘Devourer’ 21st Division Berginstaff commands is also designed to prevent assassinations.”

“And we can’t tunnel in underneath them....” You say “As they have thick nano-material foundations that our cutting tools wouldn’t even scratch”.

“We don’t have the Aircraft for an airborne assault.” Tirl-kha, head of the commandos, says, obviously annoyed.

Suddenly inspiration comes to you. “We sneak in.”

Everyone looks at you as if you just grew three new heads.

“What do you mean, ‘sneak in’?” Quish-ka asks.

“We Vat-Born could pass for human at a glance, especially if we were wearing captured Vanguard equipment. And over the last galactic year all of my sisters have learnt English from me. All we’d need is to capture some Vanguard troops who could tell us how to act.”

Ari and Ankara both think about it.

“Seems reasonable to assume they could mistake us. We’d have to be careful of Vanguard detection tech though. Other than that, I see no reason it would not work.” Ari says.

“I agree. Seems like the best option.” Ankara agrees. Elianna nods her head as well.

The Morey commanders share glances.

“If you think it can work, try it. We can’t come up with anything better.” Dornishi says. The other two commanders nod in agreement to what Dornishi says.

Next, the focus of the conversation moves to how best to get control of the planet from the Vanguard. Unfortunately, no one comes up with anything even remotely plausible. Ari proposed a ‘gray goo’ nanite swarm, but Ankara quickly shot it down as implausible and extremely hard to do if possible.

Lastly, you talk about how to crack the vehicle codes. You all come to unanimous agreement that the best way is to do what you discussed earlier and capture Vanguard troops who know how to use the vehicles and open the computers, consoles and protected control systems.

***

find a Vanguard installation and make detailed observations of it...

Send out infiltrators to chart all facilities in the surrounding area.

With the discussion over, everyone gets back to what they were doing. You take this chance to round up your infiltrators and scouts.

You order the Scouts to find and observe any and all Vanguard camps and bases in the region and to report back detailed information on troops, troop types, equipment, supply lines, vehicles, air power, aircraft, defences and anything else they can see.

You also order your infiltrators to do the same, however you give them permission to get fairly close and, if the chance of detection is sufficiently low, to enter the Vanguard camp or facility and take detailed, up close reports of what they see.

After they have been briefed, they gather into teams of three to five and get to work. It will take some time to hear back from them with anything meaningful.

***

Psyonics training on our lonesome. Make sure no one see's us since we don't want to be looked at weirdly or get attention.

When alone for the evening, you try to practice your psionic abilities which Ala-Shar is sure you had all that time ago.

You put a hell of a lot of effort into concentrating. You can feel something start to stir deep within you, a deeper understanding of the world around you seems to slowly creep into your consciousness. You start to see small lights. With a bit of experimenting, you find you can turn the ‘lights’ on and off.

You look around and find that the lights are actually hovering over peoples heads. Even the small animals that run around have them.

You grin. This is definitely an interesting power.

Deciding to test your abilities, you sneak towards two of your sisters talking around a small light. You concentrate on the light above the smaller one, a Scout. It flashes once, twice, then a  third time. With each flash, the Scout starts to act increasingly strangely.

On the fourth flash, you find you are looking through her eyes. You move your(her) arms and look at them, then you look at your sister next to you, who is looking at you strangely. You grin slightly and decide to play a little trick on your two sisters.

You make the small scout jump forward and plant a long, passionate kiss on the larger ones lips, taking her by surprise. You then withdraw your control. From your hidden vantage point you can see the blank looks of confusion on both their faces, brought to an end by the Scout quickly pulling away and stating “No one is going to find out about this.” In quiet voice. The larger ones nods.

You sneak away, marvelling at your power and quick-onset skills. Maybe the fact you are now a far more mature Vat-Born has meant your mental powers are easier to access, unlike last time?

*Next Day*

We have agreed to getting a meeting together with our Brood leaders, w.e morey like us enough to show up, and strategize on how to get vanguard prisoners {do we stalk random patrols, look for original vanguard bases, or check our old HQ/Dockyards} and what camp we can put them in for interrogations. If needed we could build a new one just for prisoners so the rest aren't compromised.

You call another little meeting. Everyone shows up and pays full attention. You think you have everyone’s attention. You can’t help but think there are a couple more people than yesterday even though the number of commanders hasn’t changed.....odd. You continue anyway.

“Although we stated we were going to capture some Vanguard troops yesterday, we never actually stated how we were going to do it. Will we stalk the random patrols, look for easily attackable Vanguard bases and camps or check the ruins of the old Morey facilities?”

Ari and Ankara both state they are in favour of stalking the Vanguards patrols. They think it would be the easiest route to getting prisoners without alerting other Vanguard troops.

Elianna and Tirl-kha state they are in favour of searching for and attacking vulnerable Vanguard camps and small bases. They think that it would be easier to get a decent number of prisoners that way.

The other two Morey commanders believe searching the old ruins would be the best bet. Although many of the old facilities have been rebuilt and repurposed by the Vanguard, especially the old Morey HQ the Vat-Born fought so valiantly to protect, they still think it would be easier to search a smaller ruin for Vanguard troops, who could be easily ambushed in the overgrown ruins.

You sigh. A three way tie. You really hate it when this happens. What course of action do you vote for?

Before you cast your vote, you ask what would we do with prisoners. The unanimous agreement is to build a new, hidden, heavily guarded camp deep within the jungle which can be used to hold Vanguard POWs.

What do you do? You need to break the vote tie, and the other things you have set in motion require a few days to work.
