I'll repeat it 4. Do we have any other forces? can we get some Slinkar or Moreys to help us?

5. We retreated from a base that was doomed to fall and as we were leaving it prematurely blew the hell up. I think everyone was too busy GTFoing then scavenging for war material. if your however talking about this guerrilla campaign that's a good question. If we haven't however that should probably be added to our wishlist for this campaign.
In 5 years i'm assuming we captured some thing.

The Morey Regulars and commando's {at least 50,000} were dropped down as reinforcements and it seems the Slinkarr decided to toss they're hat in this showdown too. Although as the GM's update says were actually working together against the Vanguard.

Well we should definitely ask about any Vanguard weaponry captured during in this galactic year but i doubt anyone has much of anything their willing to give up. Guerilla's are not known to have large packages and with no supply route everything is procurement on site. Which is why we need to find a way to locate the Vanguard stronghold and it's surrounding camps. If we can take small camps that just happen to have APC's and supply trucks we're good to go.

So long as they control space, they control the system, and so long as they control the system, we cannot act openly. We need to capture a sizeable vanguard fleet and clear the system of other vanguard forces, or at least sufficient force to escape in a practical fashion.
If we capture the system then things will get complicated for the Slinkar and Morey loyalties. We should distribute some sort of default treaty should the Vanguard be defeated by our forces. Perhaps a three-month(Not long for people who have fought a war together, but perhaps brief enough that the higher-ups wouldn't just ignore it) cease-fire from the time that the vanguard cease to have capital ships in the system. The three inner planets will be placed under the authority of the Slinkar forces in the system and the three outer planets will similarly be under the authority of Morey forces, while the middle planets will only be exploited by agreement of both parties for the term of the cease-fire. All personnel will be free to return to their own people.
To capture a Vanguard fleet we would need access to one, which means landed vessels or contact with our own vessels, neither of which will happen naturally in sufficient quantity. So the plan is to capture vessels and mimic normal operations until we possess sufficient forces to defeat the Vanguard. To do this we need detailed information on operation of an protocol aboard Vanguard vessels, which means spies. We could consider using Talli to control Vanguard personnel, although the ethical questions and risks involved in that are prohibitive. Or we use replacement, the proposal being that we single out random Vanguard, monitor them for an extended period of time, and then... Initially, capture them and make it look as though they were blown up in a raid, and subsequently interrogate them extensively to determine flaws in our process. Once the process meets our standards, quietly kidnap them and replace them with one of our personnel. Once we possess sufficient data to mimic the input and output of a vessel, we wait for the vessel to become vulnerable to boarding, have our spies disable communication, board it, and then resume normal operations while using it as a staging point for additional boarding operations.
So for the short-term, we need to monitor specific random Vanguard personnel, and capture small Vanguard craft for training purposes. Even if we cannot capture a whole landing craft, just grabbing the control surfaces of a land vehicle would help. But secrecy is vital, we need to blow up everything that would demonstrate our activities, so if we steal bits from a vehicle, destroy what we leave behind, if we grab a Vanguard, bdemolish enough terrain that their remains will not be missed...

So yes, find a Vanguard installation and make detailed observations of it...

That said the vanguard do have a good air force in the planet. I'll put details on tomorrow but It requires us blowing up hanger bays in masse by acquiring artillery and the refuel zones of said air craft. Once that's taken care of we can rest easier and train in the above operations without being spied. An added effect would be the money and slinkarr ramping up operations on this planet.

sneak around. find a way to create a fake surrender and hold the biggest vanguard leader you find hostage in return for the Vanguard retreating, or at least allowing us to retreat
how is Kaleetra?
I remember Katia had some psychic ability. time to begin training it

Katia/Pandora are us we can train whenever we want but again let's keep it to ourselves. Also i doubt we can find ANYONE who could agree to that deal for the Vanguard theirs just too much at stake after losing so many people on this campaign. We have to find out what they want and make it turn sour then the'll leave.

Also sneak maybe to our old base or the shipyard we never took, hopefully we can find them their and we can take one hostage without kicking the beehive.

RAM's plan is the best option here or we find whatever hell the Vanguard are looking for, that will require to get in contact with the Vanguard(a grunt may have a vague idea).

I would have either false surrendered and held Berginstaff Hostage, or really defected to the Vanguard, they are your race and didn't enslave you

False surrender (we don't know if they take prisoners) wouldn't land us with berg/w.e his name is gloating, it'd land us isolated. As fir defecting, the universe would much rather have us work some kind of compromise. Not saying the GM but just how the story goes it'd mean..nothing. Let's just find a vanguard base or visit the old backyard for the vanguard. I'm sure we can find one being stupid.

((We skipped a single Galactic Year (which isn't long, in the grand scale of things) so that i could give you guys a good impression of how your 'Plan B' of guerrilla warfare went and also to advance the whole thing on a bit.

I also decided that it would be a good time to describe what else is going on in the system.

Ask any questions you like about what happened during the timeskip.))

Ok let get off this planet, wheres the nearest vanguard base with space craft?

I take it that the memory back network has been finished?
The loalty probes have been defeated right?
Do we have a base?
What none Brood forces are at our command?
Have we any captured weapons? any artillery or vehicles?

((Mini Update just to answer these questions.))

As you wander around the camp, checking your troops and greeting the Morey and Slinkar who are also located here, your thoughts wander towards what you have achieved these past 5 Earth years.

Talli managed to coordinate a brood-wide memory and personality backup, which means that from now on any brood sisters lost in battle but recovered should be able to be brought back. You decided to give this procedure the nickname 'Resurrection Protocol'. You disseminated this information around the Brood.

The Brood also has far more contact with the AIs in their heads now. Overall efficiency has increased.

The Loyalty probes have been defeated by every brood member, however there is a constant pressure clawing at the back of your mind trying to get control again. It is far harder for those with more loyalty probes, though, and some of your sisters, like Elianna, keep slipping back to letting the loyalty probes take back their former power.

They are working on fighting them and pushing them back permanently.

Your mind drifts to the number of guerrilla camps on the planet. You dont know for sure, but there are dozens all over the planet with a mixture of troops from the Slinkar and Morey. The camp your in at the moment is the only one with Vat-Born in though.

The guerrilla command has not given any non-vat-born troops for you to command.

The guerrillas have managed to capture a couple dozen Vanguard light armoured vehicles. The engineers the guerrillas have are trying to bypass the security protocols in the vehicles, but so far they are having no luck. There are also a few Vanguard medium and heavy vehicles. They also suffer from the same problem, however. Their security protocols are too tough.

In terms of captured aircraft, the guerrillas have captured some light fighters and bombers, as well as a couple of Vanguard shuttle craft. The engineers trying to crack their security protocols are having more success, but they are nowhere near success yet.

All the more reason to find Vanguard roaming around who's could be persuaded to give us the help needed to break their protocols. Again i suggest we go to the old dockyard or the old Morey HQ we just finished blowing up. Thoughts?

That stuff's super advanced for Dr. Ala Shar and her elite scientist {who most likely have the most advanced tech in their possession}. I remember long ago when they said they had simply done a "reverse engineering" of the nanos/probes and were still lacking in knowledge and resources. I dare say if they can't with their powerful labs then are hopes in a hostile world with no infrastructure are hopeless. Best we can do kick the Vanguard out and help make a case to give more resources to the good Dr for more experimentation to help us on that front.

I really want to rub it in the New guard generals faces when they have to look at the results of this campaign.
