Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Unless you guys are thinking otherwise the rover or observer is going out next turn near a volcanic area.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I kinda want soil samples from one of the x-ray'd areas. <_< see what the christ is going on with those. Do any of those coincide with the volcanic areas?

Well if I nudge the map over a wee bit... ;)
Also, rover or observer?

>Coordinates: Southern Landmass, Volcanic/Anomalous region.
Launching Observer to point henceforth marked as 0,0.

Activating all systems......
Configuring stealth system.......
Receiving local cartography scan and designation from Orbiter...
Obs-Alpha Ready. Input desired coordinates, movement order, or other command.

@ is Observer. Green is explored safe areas. Grey is Unexplored, Red is Dangerous, Blue is Liquid. White is seen but unexplored.

(ascii-paint marks that corner as 0,0, so I'm just going to go with that. Current map is 22x22, the far corner being 21,21. the observer has double the vision range of the normal rover, better stealth, and can float, but the rover can hold far more in its cargo hold than the observer can. I might need to use a different background tile if imgur is going to make it look like that though, thoughts?)

((A background tile that would more accurately define the grid would be nice.))

Observer move to 11, 6. ((Assuming that we use horizontal, vertical.))

Moving to location.

A number of unusual spots picked up while moving. Visuals follow.
Large plains-type area. Volcanic activity SSW of location. Edge of unusual radiation zone #1 NE, along with one point of interest. No large animals seen. No medium animals seen. Low amounts of rodent-like small animals spotted. Quite a lot of small plants seen, but none are particularily interesting from a visual standpoint, but perhaps upon deeper scanning. Radar signals from X-ray zone appear to be static still. Large dead flora surround the edge of both regions.

move to edge of anomalous zone, do not enter it
analyze zone from closer range

Move first to 13, 2, and examine point of interest and then do a visual scan upon anomalous zone before entering.

Scan plants and animals if the Observer is equipped to do so.

Concur.

COMMAND: If analysis is not possible by the observer, then collect soil, atmosphere samples to return to ship for analysis.

Also, Collect plant and possibly animal specimens for ship-board scan if in-the-field scanning is impossible.
