I apologise if this was unclear. The round ends when all votes are in. The true votes are then totted up by me and if it's a stalemate then no one dies and there is a new round with all votes reset.

  • The round ends when all votes are given- though if no one is dead at that point the next round starts with all votes reset
  • A round ends when everyone has placed both their votes, so all further votes after this point and before the mod has announced the results of that round will not be counted.
  • If the game ends in a stalemate three rounds in a row, everyone loses.

This last line has been rewritten as:

"If three consecutive rounds end in a stalemate, then everyone loses the game."

The stalemate refers to the true vote count (which isn't revealed to the players-- they only learn if someone dies and what that person's element was).

Tiruin: I'd always try to learn who they are, obviously. Look at their posting style. If both my allies were doing this, I might reveal myself to one of them to get a real ally. I definitely wouldn't reveal to both.

All: What do you think the purpose of RQS is in this game? Should it be accompanied by random votes?

Unvote

I think my point got across decently enough.

I get the feeling that most of this game is being played behind the scenes so let's get some stuff in the spotlight.

Everyone: Firstly, sorry for the general questions but anyways:

If you could pick one player to know the alignment of instantly [and privately to yourself] who would it be and why?

NQT:
The day ends when ALL the players have assigned both an attacking and a protecting vote, and one person has more attacks-minus-protects against them than any other player.
This is the text I was referring to.

Ford: Two allies, two enemies. How would you judge your target to be attacked, and how would you judge your target to be defended?

In the situation of lack of name-matching.
I'd pick one of my allies to side with and try to kill off the other as quickly as possible. That way my other ally can't betray me without losing.
I think you missed the bolded part :P

And EBWOP...

Spoiler: "OOC" (click to show/hide)

@Tiruin
Im not that new to mafia I just find it hard to take the mafia approach to this game. As far as discerning the elements im sure ill come up with something. as the game goes on.

What elements do you think have the best chance at a duo victory?
Spoiler: OOC (click to show/hide)

...Depends on the element and how they plan with their allies. Right now, I've no darn clue.

What kind of answer is this?

*Tiruin points at NQT because philosopher. Or Logician...it's just that I'm mostly divided in regard to his playstyle that I can't discern town from scum much on him--well, intuitively, I can, but that carries little point >_>

Good spotting Ford. I've now cut the bolded part: to avoid indefinite stalemates, the day ends after all votes have been placed, regardless of whether it's a stalemate or not. Is everything clear now?

I feel like you dodged that question :(

@TWS
What would you do in the event someone claimed your element?

So I was right. ;)

In all truth, there's not much point to RVS. Everyone's the same, there's no scum to ferret out. At least not until someone claims something and then it starts to get interesting.

If you could pick one player to know the alignment of instantly [and privately to yourself] who would it be and why?
Myself. Then I wouldn't need a chiropractor.

If we're talking about elements, I'd like to know who air is.

I was actually referring to player name.

For Example:

I'd like to know Tiruin's elemental affinity due to the fact that she's the most advanced of the players here [that I know of] and well... It'd be good to know if I need to fear him or not.

...Err. Yeah.

Well, let's all be honest here, don't want everyone poking at diplomacy lines behind my back.

I'm Water. Hit me, you people :I

O_o

Call me Tir instead...
What elements do you think have the best chance at a duo victory?
...Like I said, I cannot predict outcomes based purely on their abilities. Its up to the users of said elements to be able to prod and poke at how they're going to utilize a balance of stealth, secrecy, diplomatic sabotage and banter to prove their victory-skills.

Like for example, I be poking TWS.

Can we all agree that fire, air and wood are more likely to betray there allies based on there power set? Water can't defend itself and earth can only fake their attack. So I think they need to rely on others to win. With that said if we all could put someone out of the game first who would it be and why?

To be clear. which element.

So you're siding with wood against me, are you? Well, two can play at that game.

On the other hand, if you're still up for it, we can take out wood first instead, TheWetSheep, Unvote.
