((Oh well, here I go! Hope it ends better.))

After calming down from all the recent events, you decide to bring Yern back home. You remember him mentioning his mother's inn, so it would be best to bring him there.

Nectarius stoops down and drinks some of Yern's blood and takes the axe, while Clair takes as much armor as she can without humiliating his dead body. Nectarius suggests to Erin to retrieve some goodies from Vorl's body. ((I don't know whether to make her go back, since she didn't reply yes or no, and that you suggested that I don't do things for the characters without them actually doing it. The place where Vorl landed is close by, so you can go back if you want.)) Zerol and Clair then take out their waterskins and drink the blood inside.

Erin takes the parts pouch and axe and picks up the body, with help from Kira. Together, they all walk down the rough, bumpy path to the village ahead. The village is blaring with loud, festive music, and filled with smells of roasted meat which reminds you all of your hunger for real food. In the middle of the group of tents is a large campfire, and smokes pours out of the center.

When you finally reach the village, the people look at you and the dead body. They pause to look at the body, but when they see that it isn't anyone they care about, they turn their heads and dance away the night. You look around for an inn, but see none, until you spot a large building with a sign that says "Inn" and shows a picture of a severed arm and a mug. When you enter the building, you see a few tables that constantly creak. The place smells awful, but the smell of cooked food on the tables overturns it. There are a few people sitting at the bar, drinking and talking.

You bring Yern to the bar and call for the owner. You hear the panging of silverware in the kitchen, and an argument of two women in the kitchen. Eventually, a young blonde woman appears. She wears simple clothing, and bears no obvious deformities, other than an extra finger on her right hand. She walks over to you, and gasps as she sees the dead corpse.

"Yern, Yern, is... is that you? Yern! What happened? What happened to him? What happened to my younger brother? And where's Quar? And... who are you?" she asks you, with tears in her eyes.

You tell her about where you where, how you escaped and killed Vorl, and how Quar attacked Yern. She calls her mother to the bar, with all the barflies looking strangely at you and the corpse, but otherwise uncaring. When the mother arrives, you also explain about everything that had transpired, including what Yern mentioned about a Crusade.

"This, this is terrible!" she says, with tears in her eyes. "I can't believe Quar would do that... but the Crusade you say... I'm pretty sure you don't know what a Crusade is, we don't tell our children about that anymore. Find my husband, the chieftain, G'hzul. He'll answer your questions, and he may need your help, seeing your skills in killing a Gamma and freeing yourselves. Before you go, would you like some food? I can't give away free food, since I need to pay for Yern's funeral now, but it's filling and cheap! He he..." she says, trying to laugh but she breaks down into tears again.

You are now in an Inn. You can buy meals (2 fingers), which regain 5 HP, EP, and Hunger. You ask the barflies for directions in the village. The village has a marketplace that sells fruits and dried meats, an armory which makes leather armor and weapons, a small farm nearby, and G'hzul's war hut near the center of the village. You can also retrieve Vorl's stuff, which is nearby.

((To GwG, I'll add Inter in when they meet G'hzul. And Xanmyral's character, if he want's to, since I think I can handle one more, and we're already at this village. Oh, and is this better than last time?  :-\ Sorry if I sound annoying or persistent, but, you know. ))

((That a odd currency.))

I'll go get Vorl's stuff.

"So, one of you gets Vorl's stuff, then. Cut some bits off him as well, will you? Can never have enough spending money. Speaking of which, let me take a look at my little book o' treats."

Follow the group, but consult the Carta Toxicum on paralytic poisons and painkillers in the meantime. What would it take to make them in terms of ingredients and equipment?

((Oh, and the turn is better than last time. Keep up the good work.))

((Yeah I liked this turn a lot better too.))

"The food here looks good for only two fingers... defiantly more filling then fingers themselves. I can go to the marketplace for you all and see what we can get. Or maybe we should split up between going back for Vorl's body... that's his name right? and buying supplies for the group. Well unless someone else wants to leave the group... but I find I wanna stay with you all.... ah I'm getting off track again. Anyways, we can then meet up outside the cheiftan's hut. How does that sound?"

Suggest on out next course of action. Also buy a meal for later if it's alright with the people who is holding the parts pouches.

((Go Cake, go! :D

On a morbid note, it took my philosophical viewpoint to catch "You can buy meals (2 fingers)" in a literal manner...and the context o_o))

I'll go get Vorl's stuff.
"You do that Clair," Kira called to her, still massaging her hands and arms after lugging a body across the land -- it wasn't an easy task. Nor a morally and olfactory pleasing one. "And get stuff for food, thanks!"

The pangs of hunger...with food close by. Zerol did make sense by his generous offer.

"It is Vorl, and I believe splitting up in this peaceful area is the best option. Most folk here don't seem to mind us...or the fact that we brought a corpse in here much, judging by their apathetic faces, to be blunt. The meeting place is sound, though. I'll drink to that.

"But before drinking, I'd check out that armory - can't mistake dark smoke from anyplace other than a good hearth with firewood and coal. Tanned hides and all that, can't mistake that neither."

((An Armory...in this type of tech setting? I believe the term is wrong, despite the fact that we are in some sort of post-modern world, as...we've got no iron or metal armor. I think. Or...am about to find out.))

Check out that Armory/Tanning area, inquire as to the merchant's name, his father, and on his wares and their corresponding prices. Where'd he get the skins, by the way? Does he have spears, or can make custom made weapons?

Erin makes a mental note to ask the woman why nobody cares about the dead body other then her family, but not now, not when asking would just cause pain.

"If you want to go down that cliff to sift through the blood-soaked remains of his probably exploded body for whatever items that gamma was carrying on his person when he fell, you can do it without me. just dont get eaten by the things down there when you do. i like the idea of splitting up, and regrouping at the chieftain's hut at noon. we can do any actual purchasing after we know what we're doing next, so lets wait on the shopping. feel free to find out how much stuff will cost though, it'll help us plan out our purchases after talking to the chieftain."

things i want to do while in the village:
price check travel food
price check a ranged weapon i can use in flight
price check flint & steel
price check actual clothing
price check backpack
price check blankets
price check rope
price check armor
check sell value of knife
check sell value of battleaxe
read my book, looking specifically for treating weapon cuts, bite wounds, and other such things, followed by generic poison treatments for when you dont know what the poison is.
price check medical supplies

meet back up outside the chieftain's hut around noon, and visit him after we've regrouped.

triggered action: if anyone starts to protest the woman charging us for food, or not paying us the value of an entire corpse (seriously, when body parts are money an entire corpse is quite valuable), interrupt them however necessary to shut them up, then take them aside and say "not now, you're right, we're getting jipped, but she isn't in her right mind right now. give her a couple days to get her head screwed back on."

((@gm, how are parts kept from rotting? if we're going to be carrying these things around then i don't want to get diseased before the day is out. if they're just uncooled non-airtight bags of raw meat then the smell will announce our presence from miles away and the rotten meat we're carrying on our person for days on end will probably leave us massively sick.

also, cannibalism encourages the growth of some REALLY nasty parasites, some of which quite literally eat your brain, amoung other things. additionally it looks like a lot of the meat around here is being eaten raw. the world that's being built around us seems to be straight-up asking for disease to run rampant.

and i liked this turn, and thank you for not making me go back there. i really see no point, it seems like a medium-risk, low-reward action. i'm pretty sure i can be more productive in the village than looting the body.))

((>:3, I'm well versed in this kind of field - the parasites and your body, that is. Including bloodborne diseases, bacteria and all other microscopic nasties. I'd just want to push the belief that we've all evolved a common gene which mutates us to be immune to these things. Meaning: Cannibalism = food. Just like eating raw...meat.

Also I'm just wondering...is your caps key/shift key broken? Just curious here XD))

"You know," Kira chirped in, whispering at Erin's ear away from anyone else but her allies, "If bodies did cost that much, I'm amazed why these people won't just...you know," she mimicked a stabbing motion with her free hand. "Though, this tells us one thing. These people are well-meaning folk judging by how they saw us with the body.

"Or...too well versed in this kind of field that it didn't matter. Wait a minute."

Before leaving for the Armory, ask the Mother why the others; mostly everyone who has seen the corpse, anyway; did not care about it at all, or show any disgust regarding our arrival with it.

((Mental note :P))

((I learned typing from talking to my friends and foes in the middle of fast-paced online games, not from professional typing or forums or whatever. I type quite fast, and what I type is usually easy to understand, but things like capitalization aren't intuitive to me. My browser has a spellcheck built in, but it doesn't detect capitalization errors. I use punctuation as though I was actually speaking. Commas are miniscule pauses, periods slightly longer ones, ellipses or new lines for ones long enough people would consciously notice them.))

"That is a frighteningly good point."

Erin rejoins the group for a moment

"Guys, these people should have reacted to us wandering around with a dead body, and body parts are money here. Do not go anywhere alone, and watch your back. There may be people wandering the streets looking for easy kills to make money. Don't look like you're easy to kill."

Erin then wanders back over to Kira

"If you dont mind, I'll travel with you while we do our shopping. Moving around alone is asking for trouble. Also, I'd like to check something. I'm not sure how much weight I can carry while flying, would you be willing to help me find out? It could be fun. I'll stay low, so if I drop you you wont get hurt."

Travel with Kira while we do our shopping
If Kira gives me permission, test if i can carry her around while flying, and if so how it affects my flight

* Tiruin high-fives you.

Someone who understands! ;D

Kira could feel a light flush on her cheeks as Erin asked her out - the cool air of the village was really something, even in an enclosed place.

"Let's do the...flying for later on, after we've gotten our supplies. I prefer my two feet on the ground thanks much...To be honest, I'm-um, nervous at higher places than twice my height.

"But sure, let's shop!"
She leaned over, "Say, you're into shoes right? I wonder if we could get a nice pair for everyone? The light, compacted type, perhaps of the plains in color? Light brown and smooth. Yep..."

Acknowledge testing...before we get there. Like, now. Even if I said no. Do it now.

"I'll tag along with you guys as well, unless you object. Perhaps there is a weaponsmith around."

Follow Kira and Erin rather than anyone else. Remember to check the Carta Toxicum on painkiller and paralytic recipes. Refresh memory on what exactly is covered by the book. Just poisons or curatives, sedatives and stimulants as well?

((hehehe, ok!))

"Wait, you're afraid of heights? Well, I guess I'll just find someone else to test with. I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

Erin looks around at the various revelers dancing about. Then points out one of the dancers to Kira.

"Hey, look at that guy's left hand. I think he's holding something weird in it but I can't get a good look. What do you think?

Erin waits for Kira to focus on the dancer, then grabs her from behind and proceeds to test how easy it is to fly while carrying Kira, saying "See? It's really not that bad. Doesn't the wind feel great? And look at the awesome view!"

"Wait... you sure about the... easy money thing?" Zerol whispered to Erin after she gets done with the flight test. "Great I didn't think of that. Mind that I stick close to you when we check the marketplace out? It's hard for me to look strong even if I tried."

Stick close to Erin and the group when we go look around the marketplace.
