((Thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to use it next time!  ;D By the way, for combat, should I hide the dice rolls or something? Because it would look nicer if I hid it. ))
((No. I'm pretty sure your current roster of players aren't cheap metagamers :P))

"Flanking, ambush, retaliation."

Kira shook her head at the ideas. "Too much. This enemy is wary, naught to take chances seeing his prey unleashed. Good plans, all of them, but I side with tempting something he'd never expect."

She anchored the battleaxe down, grasping it with her palms. "His Ego. I'm willing to issue a challenge (saying that I freed the prisoners, of course), then try to get info regarding how he managed to claim us all; including taunting how loyal his subjects are to him. Supposing he takes this challenge (y'know, duel? One-on-one-ish), y'all set up and flank or kill his subjects.

"It's time we played dirty with this cheap hunk of slobbering filth. Any extra powers -- electricity would help loads -- should be hidden. If my plan fails, I can always wing it and try to seperate them thanks to my speed, if it must be. The people of the savannahs aren't one to take a threat easily -- and it's not running! It's a tactical retreat."

In truth, this was one of the most foolhardy plans Kira had in a while, but the enemy had something she could at least relate with, an overbloated ego -- not saying she had one, of course, but it was something that caught your eye between the characteristic of 'boastful' and 'damn high-and-mighty'.

"Besides, I'm ready to taunt him with just a dagger, one of you needs this nice axe here, eh? That, or I could go with you two," she gestured to the two brothers, "And...say, start a ruckus while the rest of you take out his followers? A glorified act of vengeance for the slain, if I may say so myself."

The slaves. Too foolish to know their fate - and how could it be? They had not been warned firsthand, or escorted into safety by one of them.

This had to work. The opportunity was at hand!

Await planning!

"That sounds good too. Though I have a third plan we could try... how about we just hide out of sight, and when they get near, we ambush them. Even better if they go past us and we can either sneak away or kill them from behind. That way we won't have to put any one person in danger... plus with eight versus three, we have a huge advantage," Zerol adds in another plan for everyone to decide on. Then jokingly says, "We could also just bum rush them and hope for the best hahaha."

Eight versus...what?

"Err, we aren't quite sure how many they number. If they can kill all those slaves without losing any of their number, then we're quite in trouble following that plan." Kira pointed out.

((Oh i miss counted... though the last turn says how many there are. Unless not everything that happens in a turn we know about....))

"Ah sorry, I meant four. Still be have weapons and armor while the slaves had nothing and panicked and ran instead of fighting."

((Tiriun, look at our stat sheets on the first page, you're the slowest of the group, i'm the fastest. Nectarius is tied with Hroki for second fastest.))

"I propose we send out a couple runners. the runners split up and try to make our enemies split up to chase the them. after they're split up, our main group needs to take them out, targeting their singletons first if possible. i'll volunteer to be one of the runners, i really don't want to be trapped in here without access to the sky."

Erin hands her knife to Hroki

"You look really strong, Clair and Zerol have special abilities we need in the fight, Kira is our combat expert, and these two brothers looks like strong fighters as well. by elimination the best choices for our runners are me and Nectarius. we both see well in the dark, we're both fast, and I have wings in case I get in real trouble. i'll hang on to the keys for now, that way if things go sour they wont be able to use those cages to hold us again, and if they try i'll just come back and get you out of there.

Nectarius, from the doorway, facing the enemy, i'll be run to the right. you run to the left. if they refuse to chase us then circle around them and run towards the bridge. that should force their hand.

Eight versus four may be a huge advantage, but six versus two, or better yet versus one, is an even bigger advantage. even six versus three is no worse than eight versus four, and we'll be able to make sure all our fighters are armed. if they refuse to chase us, no matter what we do, then we'll just run in from the sides and flank them when the fighting starts."

EDIT: ((mixed up who had the bat. the bat is Hroki's, not nectarius's. which slightly weakens the plan, but oh well))

The artwork relates to the encasing of the HMRC in metal by Pancaek during the Mission of Many People.))

((That is me being IC and reflecting on my origin thanks very much :P))

Kira did a short bow to Erin's plan. "I'd concede to that. To be honest, I was thinking along the lines of someone heh, me being carried and dropped by the wings...Not a good idea. But I'd be sure that whatever the runners have to do, they have to act it out well -- the group is moving slowly, wearily.

"If you people can do the running, try to confuse them using the lighting and sound, then head back to us. Hopefully by that time, we'd have them in dire straits. We're up against an Omega though, be wary all of you.

"Granted, I'd really like a flanking attack. Perhaps I, or anyone with light feet, could maneuver to their rear and whistle a bit, catching their attention and also sounding the signal to strike (this is also the signal for the runners to move as if the whistle is also a distraction, hah), if that's alright?"

Follow Erin's idea.

As you finish your plans, Vorl's men slowly walk forward. They look for trouble, but they see nothing. (Search 2) They go on ahead, less wary.

You all get to your positions, waiting for the time to strike. Erin and Nectarius then suddenly bolt out, and Clair shoots lightning at their direction. They try to flee, but Vorl roars, reminding them who was the pack master. (Leadership 6) Nectarius circles to the left, while Erin bolts to the right. Nectarius manages to run fast enough to not be caught by them (Speed 7). Erin manages to run faster, and a mutant leaps of the edge as he tried to grab her. (Speed 8 )

Vorl's men has reduced again, from four to three. He howls in anger.

"Stupid half-breeds! I'll have to do this myself!" he shouts, and bashes another of his minions off the bridge! (Rage 3)

Seeing the time to strike, the others rush to fight the remaining mutants. Hroki and Tor come close and didn't manage to land a hit on them. (Attack 2 vs End 4) Zerol goes closer and manages to land two hits on them! (Attack 6 vs End 4) You hit them very hard, killing them instantly. (Strength 37 vs End 4) Clair moves in, too, and shoots more lightning and manages to kill one and pushes the other of the ledge. (Attack 6)

Soon, Vorl is the only one left. He screams in a fit of rage. He charges towards Zerol, but Quar blocks him. Quar is knocked out and incapacitated. Yern, seeing his brother knocked down, rushes forward and slashes at Vorl's head. Vorl's scales, however block the attack.
Erin rushes, flies over, and swoops down on Vorl, knocking them both over the bridge. However, Erin can fly. So while Vorl falls to his death, Erin simply rises and flies back to the rooftop.

"Well done! Let's go, before something else happens," says Yern.

Your party, Yern, and Quar (who is being carried by Yern) walk down towards the lower grounds. You can make out a campfire in the distance, and hear festive music and dancing.

"I wanted to say thanks, for saving my brother and I back there. Our village is up ahead; my mother owns an inn there. Just tell her that you saved Yern and Quar. We're not going back just yet, though. We have unfinished business in the mountains. We'll meet again soon, wo-" as he said that, Quar rolled of his back and stood up, although his stance was more of like a zombie.

"Ghr'z Qz! Qz! Y'pli ghr'z Qz!" Quar screams, he pulls out a dagger and stabs Yern in the back.

Yern falls to the ground, bloody and with a dagger in his back. Quar looks down on him, suddenly realizing what he has done. He walks and talks normally now. He runs to his brother's side, sobbing and crying.

"What have I done? I don't know what took over me! I swear! I have regained honor for my family tonight, but I have drowned that honor in the blood of my brother! Please, Yern, forgive me," and with that, Quar took the knife and slit his throat, falling of the edge.

"I knew this would happen one day,"cough, cough,"But you must forgive him! It was not his fault. After you see our mother, find the Gamma of our village, G'hzul. Tell him, the Crusade is starting. And tell my mother, sorry, for not protecting our family,"cough, cough. Yern says, and his eyes finally close.

The village is nearby, and dawn has started to break. You could loot Yern's body. He has two battleaxes, a suit of fur armor and a part pouch.

((Tor is about the size of a four year old, but fast and drinks blood. He can carry you, but not for very long, and not very high up.))

"Well... that was unexpected," Zerol comments about the brothers' deaths. "Well I may not care about honor myself, but I respect other peoples honor. Even if I find it stupid and a way to quicken one's death. Well I think the same way about curiosity but I'm curious as hell haha. We should go the village of their's like they said. That place sounds like the safest place to be around here."

((Just so you know, Vorl isn't an Omega, he's a Gamma. I'm not that cruel to have you face against an Omega now.))
((Kira heard wrong :P

Also...IMO, you really need to work on more description. That death for the Gamma was...anticlimactic, somehow. Lack of detail, seemed too fast for me :S))

Kira nodded in agreement, hefting her battleaxe from the ground.

"It's pretty fazing seeing that after a total victory. The slaves are avenged, and yet we still have losses...At least the world will have one less raging Omega-...wait, Gamma, sorry.

"I believe its best if we use what our dead friends had...In their honor, of course."

Give the bodies of our dead a good farewell. Cremate remains unless anyone objects.
