You can claim your own areas, but you can of course connect them with each other if you wish.

Claim a large area near the river and make stone blocks for a future guarded entrance.

Dunno if we are getting separate places or not but I'm claiming the bottom right as the Assassins Guilds. :)
Hopefully we will later on. As it stands, my dwarf can't do diddly squat.

So....who wants to dig a hole for me?

You can hang-out at my tavern and sleep in my beds if you start gathering plants for me.  :)

Posting to watch. It seems the Fools Guild will be in high demand (who doesn't like entertainment?) as well as the Thieves and Assassins Guilds. Then against those two 'offensive' guilds are mainly reactionary to the needs of the others, I guess.

@Korbac, join up! You look like you'd be good a picking a purse.

@Korbac Come help me kill stuff secretly! :D

My request of the bottom left, (other side of the river) still stands.

Lovechild, throw me in where you think I would fit best at this stage! :) When migrants come of course. :)

"Oh I was a dame in a fishing town, and me ol' pa said to me
You spend your life, your jolly life, jus' fishin on the sea
You search the world for pretty gems, til your eyes are weak and dim
But don't go searchin in a new fort, dear, if you don't know how to swim!

"For the place will flood with Magma
The ale is weak and pale
The place might be a work of art
You'll love that fort with all your heart
But that shouldn't be your only part
Or with the fort, will end your tale"

With a few apologies to Great Big Sea's song, The Mermaid

"Mesere Dismas, the repentant, do you think that I could be troubled to borrow your pick for a wee bit? I'd certainly like to get some suitable space for my own residence."

Did out a a staircase down and a five by five room, preferably near the river and wagon, assuming that Dismas is too busy playing exterminator, I'll just quickly borrow it anyway. Set up a pair of one by three farm plots inside.

"Well then, it's good to see that I've sufficient supplies down here. If anyone should want any fish or rum, do feel free to ask me. I'm sure that we can find reasonable accommodation for me to share, no?"

Clearly, goods and treasures are the lifeblood of a fortrees. You should join the Treasurers Guild.

I think that, at least until we have migrants and a larger work force, all guildmasters should work on a single fortress. It is difficult for any dwarf to live on his own, much less start his own fortress.  Let us work together, for the time being, at least until we have a decent fortress running.

That being said, we should really move our stuff underground... For safe keeping, of course.

I agree, which is why I said I'd cut down trees for us all. Just saying I claim the other riverside as future guildsite. :)

Ya I think you guys should make a singular fort and then claim individual 'branches' as each guild gets more self - supporting.

Come now, come now, as one of the ones who brought food, I feel confident in saying that we can share the pick, no?
