Another meaningless voice in support of permabotany here.
re: brigging/permabrigging:
Well said, but there is one small thing that needs to be considered.
Brigging is worse than permabrigging.
It's pretty absurd, but it's true. Perma at least has some features added as an attempt to keep people from quitting due to boredom - meanwhile, piss off security and you're stuck for ten minutes bedbuckled and flashed until you're blind if you try to unbuckle at worst, walk around and bash your shoes on the lamp at best.
I've... actually yet to see that, at least on here, since before we left box. If someone's committed a capital crime, they've usually committed multiple capital crimes, and thus go straight to perma. Not talking about "lel you stole 3 things from Cap's office, perma", either. I've never seen bedbuckle+flash for a full 10m, from either side. The closest is what happens when I'm HoS with a lazy sec team, so I end up bringing in multiple perps myself, and find that the rest of the department tormenting prisoners while I was gone. Actually, I hardly ever use the flash unless the person has already tried to escape/robust me. Usually I just strip things they could use to break out, uncuff them, set the timer, and talk while it runs down. The only times where I leave someone alone in a cell are when there are other problems going on that need dealing with. Often as not, it ends up being an interrogation RP, especially when there are hints of something deeper going on, with the brig being an afterthought if it is used at all.
Doesn't happen much/ever when I'm not HoS, because almost nobody except some of the public newblood bother playing Sec. I continue to play HoS because of the superstitious fear that enough rounds without sec will summon HoS Lillian from the grave.
