Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Isn't our permabrig just the rotated Meta permabrig?

Except... it's not. The last merge with /tg/ is from 28th, Vox was added on 30th.

That map reminds me, isn't it like insanely hard to escape perma compared to the others? The only way that gives you a plausible chance of survival is to have an emag, because breaking through one of those windows at solars/arrivals/cargo will probably get you killed.

And how can you escape perma without an emag on the other map?

It's actually about the same if not a little bit easier. There's a broken bottle some ingenious person could use, plus an emergency crate if you want to make a dash for cargo or arrivals.

What I meant was that there was airlocks you could open without one to get in.

That bar of soap could prove in handy for tripping up guards then stealing their IDs.

Only if power is out/the guard is a moron who doesn't check the cameras before entering perma.

But yeah, I measured it out, and we have something like a 29 tile route to the cargo bay windows as the shortest route, and that requires you to turn a blind corner in hard vacuum with nothing to stand on. Hell, there's nothing to stand on for pretty much the entire way. Granted, that might make it easier if you know a certain trick, but you've still got to get out, get lucky on the corner, and break the window before you freeze to crit. The other option is to go up, but that requires an emag if you don't want to have to break through two full windows just to be stuck in the NW solar power room. You could theoretically make it to the window on the west of arrivals, but that's a damned long path that includes making a turn in open space as well as a longer path than cargo. Bright side is that you're home free if you make it, but it's damned hard to do so.

It shouldn't be EASY to escape perma. If you could escape perma without a chance of dieing perma wouldn't be used and we'd just have a lot of traitors being incinerated because there's literally no place that can reliably hold them.

One thing Meta has better - Permaponics. We should add this in too. In fact, I would love it if regular prison cells were attached to Perma, and the door to the station would open once the time is up on the prisoner ID assigned. Being brigged should not be a force-tabout, plus giving prisoners the ability to produce goods necessitates people who go to the brig to take these out, which in turn facilitates some human interaction.
