• Anyone with the name Alina Koch (Alpha/Beta/etc) or some variant of Alina Koch is either somehow insane, a nymphomaniac or a dominatrix. Avoid at all costs and if Alina starts going after one of them, hide.
• Axl is THE most robust, no matter whether they are male or female.
• Alina and FemAxl/Axlette are in love. Do not come between them, harm either or hit on either.

Also, John Franks may hit on Alina. If this happens, hide. a mass explosion of blood, guts, energy guns, and cats will result.

Also, advise for new guy:  Read the wiki.   ALL THE GUIDES.   Then go assistant/cargo tech and try to get someone to show you how to play.

If you just want to ignore the shitty lunatic politics described above, play a shaft miner. Shaft miners get to spend all their time away from the station and the murders, mining for ore inside an asteroid. If you turn off your radio, you can pretend it's just you, alone in space, and the rest of the crew doesn't even exist.

I've made it back from derelict, then the asteroid, in time to save the AI and get to a pod.

If the station is filled with burning plasma, your chances of survival are NOT signifigantly increased by being on the station. Especially since being on the station means you don't get a free mining hardsuit.

If you go inside the station when you have a mining hardsuit and presumably a good, full tank of oxygen left instead of working around the side and getting in one of the pods (or all the way to the shuttle bay, if you're good at spacewalking), you deserved to die. Unless there's space carp, in which case you're fucked either way.
