Perhaps color dialogs indicate not only magical ability, but also how outwardly magical someone is. Red doesn't have a color because he often doesn't use blatant magic and prefers to do things quietly, while those with colors use their magic rather blatantly when they do use it.
Given how over half of most of my posts are taken up with intricate descriptions of exactly what Merlin does with his magic and he's training Mat in the same wizard style, that makes sense.

Well, your guy is more SCIENCE-Y Then magic. So it still ties in! Sort of! I think I may be pushing this theory to it's limits. :P

The only debunk I can see is that Aldrow's robots use colored text too.

Well, they are magical robots. They're literally powered by magic, so they use magic and are highly obviously magical.

I think they're golems, personally. With a chem that's fashioned after a primitive, steampunk based programming language.

Yep. They're quite fun to write from the perspective of. Especially since I have the coding capacities of a trout. I bet any actual programmers reading this cry whenever I write from their perspective.

Well originally I just decided to choose colors for Aldrow and Ayana to differentiate them and didn't give Adam a color since I already picked three, but it does conveniently work out that way as well.

I bet any actual programmers reading this cry whenever I write from their perspective.
While I'm not exactly a programmer I am taking the courses to get into Artificial Intelligence (I'm just mediocre at it, good for where I'm at but got a long way to go), I find the writing style for them fits the way I'd write them anyways since it's easy to understand for most people. Plus the style doesn't need to be too accurate since the setting and the overall feel of the writing doesn't really call for it.
