Go to the really bad part of town. Ask for rumors. If not, who would actually mess with a Flynd in a tight-fitting blue cap?

Go to the docks and meet the fisherman's son, but stow the hat, probably won't fly with those folk.

This sounds like a plan, and more likely to beat Option Suicide than any other.

borrow the fishermans knife and get revenge on that octopus, were having calamari for dinner

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Very definitely against Option Suicide, generally in favor of running the gunpowder now. My reasoning for the latter is that we want to be on good terms with both the fisherman as well as Melody and Old Guy Whose Name Escapes Me- doing the job promptly and efficiently is most likely to result in work in the future as well. I like this quest giver, we should hang onto him if we can.

My reasons for being against Option Suicide should be self-evident. :P

I agree with this unless the Suicide Option is winning.

I just wanted to see Maja beat up some thugs. Is that so wrong.

It's not wrong, but I have learned through trial and error (and a terrible inability to ignore Schmuck Bait) that when the GM asks if you are sure, you damn well better rethink your action.

Besides, hauling a keg of gunpowder five miles on our backs sounds plenty dangerous to me- we don't have to seek out the violence, the violence will come to us! Just more efficient this way.

Until such a time as that happens, you can always watch this with me, and pretend?

(I got a lot of martial forms to bone up on)

I'm not so sure Maja is the thugs-beat-upper sort. At least not if there's multiple thugs suddenly jumping him.

Especially since thugs tend to have sharp and/or heavy objects to wound with.

Vote: Priority 1: Get on the explosives job now. Be back in time for dinner.
Priority 2: Go to the docks and hang out with the fishermen. Remember: fishermen love a good hat, but they may mistake the feather for a lure.
Priority 3: Explore the town. Specifically, explore the market.
Priority FUCK NO: Explore the seedy parts of town. Get our zero-combat-experience-ass kicked.

Drunken brawling isn't street fighting. No one's trying to kill in the former. The latter? Who knows?
